http://katemooney.blogspot.com/2009/02/on-catching-on-late.html
Monday, February 16, 2009. On Catching On Late. Because I can no longer watch, I am now Reading the Sopranos. Edited by David Lavery. It's a collection of critical essays about the show, written by academics in Film Studies and contributors to journals of TV and Film Studies, etc. My favorite essays so far have been "What Has Carmela Ever Done for Feminism? And what of my catching on a little late to the phenomenon that is The Sopranos. When I was eleven reading Jane Eyre. The reality is, nobody says not...

Moondog Matinee: OCD as a Strategy
http://katemooney.blogspot.com/2009/02/ocd-as-strategy.html
Friday, February 13, 2009. OCD as a Strategy. Posted by Kate Mooney. Do you have the Band album Moondog Matinee? It's decidedly mediocre, but maybe you should listen to the song "Saved" on heavy rotation. Scionsh-something about jesus, and jesu, joy of man's desires and non-topical blogging. While we're on the topic, I was thinking that you are due to drop some staggering long form prose; wanna co-author a paper on repackaging? February 16, 2009 at 5:09 AM. Moondog Matinee: Meet Kate the Bike
http://katemooney.blogspot.com/2009/02/meet-kate-bike.html
Monday, February 16, 2009. Meet Kate the Bike. I finally joined my fellow urban green youth and bought a bike. She's a cruiser, which I think means she has no gears, pedal brakes, and wide old-lady handle bars. I can ride slowly with a crazed look like in a horror movie set in the suburbs. Or I can speed away until my leg muscles ache, because my bike is set at just the right resistance. Posted by Kate Mooney. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). An academic father might muse aloud about origins, a far-away look in his eyes, before finishing his wine. . Moondog Matinee: Flossing in the Car
http://katemooney.blogspot.com/2009/02/flossing-in-car.html
Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Flossing in the Car. Posted by Kate Mooney. The popular joke among male lawyers in the greater central jersey area is that more women crash their cars because they are busy putting on lipstick, eating a bagel with cream cheese, and fixing their hair while trying to navigate the local commute in peace. So I'm gonna say flossing in the car only makes sense if you're truly embracing an OCD lifestyle to the fullest. February 18, 2009 at 12:50 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
