31s and Point to Point Links. 31s have been available for use for some time now. Proposed in RFC3021. The idea was initially to conserve IP address depletion by using /31s for point to point links. Has supported /31s as a subnet mask since release JUNOS 5.0 and Cisco since IOS 12.2. Below I configured a couple of SRX210s for anyone wanting to see it in practice.
