About Chris Champion - Theaterworkshops Chris Champion
http://www.dramaworkshops.eu/chris-champion-dramaworkshops
I fell in love with theatre while at school. I stumbled into an audition for Tom Stoppard's Albert's Bridge and left with the role of Dave an old codger whose only line was: Hear! Hear, Mr. Chairman! Not a big role but I did get to repeat the line fourteen times! I've taught and performed in over 20 countries in 4 continents and played my award winning clown street theatre show throughout Europe. This is the best biography by me I have ever read.".

Clowning - Theaterworkshops Chris Champion
http://www.dramaworkshops.eu/drama-workshops/clowning-workshops
The clown is a naive child in a misbehaving world full of suprises. She is an innocent: spontaneous, curious and perpetually amazed. She speaks directly to the audience and by mirroring our own fears and aspirations helps us to laugh at ourselves. This workshop mixes the past traditons of circus clowns and silent movies with the principles of present day practitioners such as Philippe Gaulier to explore the possibilities of clowning in a post modern universe! Having fun how to have fun and show it!

Improvisation - Theaterworkshops Chris Champion
http://www.dramaworkshops.eu/drama-workshops/improvisation-workshops
Improvisation is theatre without a script. It is a wonderfully liberating form of drama which develops the imagination, spontaneity and creativity of the performer. It teaches performers to stay positive and to be in the moment. As a result, improvisation can greatly help them to deal with the fear of failure and to overcome creative blocks. Spontaneity being in the moment. Co-operation listening to and working with others. Creativity staying positive and trusting one's inner impulses.

Inspiration - Theaterworkshops Chris Champion

There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening, that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost.".

Masks conceal and hide. They confer a certain anonymity on the wearer and this anonymity is often a powerful liberating experience. This is especially so for shy students who, once they are safely hidden behind the mask, can find it easier and less vulnerable to take on a new identity. Workshops cover half and/or full masks and include preparation exercises. Focus giving and recieving focus. Articulation keeping movements precise and clear. Differences between half and full masks.
