Finding balance between urban and country life since 1971. Summer of ’77. August 21, 2016. My 6th Birthday, welcoming Squaw to the family. During the summer of 1977 most little girls were asking for a new Malibu Barbie for their birthdays. I liked Barbie too, but what I really wanted was a living, breathing pony. Not just any pony either. I wanted Squaw. My 6th birthday- I got a horse wind chime, a feed bucket with my name on it, and a pony. Trail Report- June- 2015. June 12, 2015. The Rocking B Riders.

Finding balance between urban and country life since 1971. Camping at Meridian State Park. It’s hard to say what I like most about camping. Exploring a new place. Walking peacefully down a wooded trail. Sitting around the campfire with my husband and dogs. All are pieces of the whole. There are several short walking trails, including an easy 2.5-mile trail that circles the lake. The lake trail meanders through cedar breaks, limestone bluffs and hardwood groves along Bee Creek. On this visit t...The park ...

Finding balance between urban and country life since 1971. I love all things Texas, including the native Texas plants and wildlife. Eastern Giant Swallowtail on Lantana in October. Slowly I have removed the invasive plants from our yard and replaced them with Texas natives. It takes time to see the rewards of the change. But this fall the native plants are in bloom at just the right time for the migrating butterflies, birds, and moths to feed from as they pass through. Butterfly on Mexican Bush Sage.

The Atomic Comic - Home
A fun, cozy room that answers the question: What is it like to perform on the set of a 90's sitcom? As performers, we love to see a crowd, and [The Atomic Comic] brings a crowd. It was also a diverse one, which is amazing. The crowd was with the performers the whole time! I never thought I would have the courage to do stand up until I saw how welcoming the other comics and audience were. It's the perfect place to practice your material, and watch others perform, too. The Atomic Cowgirl | Finding balance between urban and country life since 1971
Finding balance between urban and country life since 1971. November 17, 2016. President elect, Donald Trump, is calling for term limits as part of his 100 day package. On the surface that might seem like a solution to some of our political pains, but the reality is, it takes away a fundamental right from the American people. The second part of the issue is we, the people, aren’t playing a very active roll in helping put candidates forward that represent the will of the community. A small handful of a...

The Atomic Dawghouse! | Beware, you may have to think!
Beware, you may have to think! About Al “the Atomic Dawg”. The Analogy That Changed Me As A Dad. March 13, 2015. I really wish I could take credit for this story, because I’ve used it several times speaking publicly. Likewise, I wish I could remember where and when I first heard it;. A man steps into a taxi on a bustling city street one day, and simply tells the diver, Drive . The confused driver meekly answers, I didn’t know you wanted to go down that street! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? Do our children see ...
