The Adventures and Everyday Life of the McDades. Tuesday, June 16, 2009. 40 Years and Counting. Happy 40th Anniversary to my Mom and Dad! Just 40 years ago they decided to get hitched. And after being told my dad couldn't get any time off. From the family feed mill. They simply crossed the state line. We surprised them this weekend with a family party. They had no idea that we were planning this shindig. Family and friends came from near and far. The grandchildren were the life of the party.

The Adventures and Everyday Life of the McDades. Friday, May 30, 2008. Gracie at the playground. I think it's safe to say that Gracie loves to slide! She's not too fond of the swings yet but if she can climb it or slide it then she's all in! She showed no fear as she came down the tunnel slide head first the very first time on it. She loved crawling through the tunnels as well as trying to climb "up" the slide from the bottom. She also enjoyed the bouncy car! Monday, May 12, 2008. I promise to soon have ...

The "Mack"Dades: MOPs Adventures
http://christymcd11.blogspot.com/2009/07/mops-adventures.html
The Adventures and Everyday Life of the McDades. Tuesday, July 21, 2009. Over the past year I've enjoyed meeting lots of other Moms and their children through the MOPs group at our church. MOPs=Mothers of Preschoolers. This group has truly been a God-send to me. Where else can you gather with Christian women who have the same responibilities, are going through the same day-to-day crises (read potty-training, terrible 2's, etc, etc), and yet still love being Mommies? And it's free on Tuesdays! Those are s...

The Adventures and Everyday Life of the McDades. Tuesday, April 14, 2009. We had a very nice Easter this year at home, a first since we've been married! A first Easter we've stayed home, not the first nice Easter we've ever had! And as I was feeling a bit under the weather, my dear sweet husband helped me cook Easter dinner. Gracie enjoyed hunting eggs and discovering the Easter bunny had left her a basket. She can be the sweetest, most compassionate 2 year old ever. But remember.she is still 2!

The Adventures and Everyday Life of the McDades. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. This is my beloved Christmas cactus that decides every year to bloom on a different holiday.any holiday other than Christmas! I guess this year it decided to celebrate Halloween. Tuesday, October 28, 2008. We had our first snowfall this morning! A little early for these parts, at least here in the valley. I wonder if this is a preview of the winter to come? Gracie had to go out on the deck and "touch it". A-camping we will go.

The Adventures and Everyday Life of the McDades. Tuesday, December 30, 2008. A Rainforest in Ohio? We arrived in Ohio the weekend before Christmas to find temperatures in the single digits and what felt like gale force winds! Typical Ohio weather. so what do you do when it's. Why you go to the zoo of course! Look Dally, if we just climb up over this wall. A baby orangutan. or is that Casey and Scott up there? The girls and their Daddys. Tuesday, December 2, 2008. The Adventures and Everyday Life of the McDades. Sunday, March 8, 2009. It's a heat wave! So last week we had 6 inches of snow and this week it's 75 and beautiful! We headed out to Davidson River and took a walk, letting Gracie throw 100 rocks into the river. A nice gentleman offered to take a family picture for us and it turned out great! These are not the most recent snow, as Gracie and I missed it, but the only other snow we had this winter. Gracie loves to make snow angels! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
