The History of Newark Ohio. November 19, 2013. If someone were visiting Newark they would quickly realize that the further you get from the historic downtown the more rural things become. Despite the fact there are many housing developments there is still a lot of land that is either farmed or not developed. The History of Newark Ohio. November 29, 2013. Life in Newark Ohio Today. Another favorite thing to do is to go fishing or swimming in one of our many spots on the river. I have. Personally spent many nights on the rivers and lakes fishing and spending time with friends and family. There is not a place more peaceful to me than sitting on a riverbank at sunset with a campfire and a couple of fishing poles in the water and the company of a few good friends. Laquo; Previous post.
