Lee's Black Mountain Walk, End 2 End: Middle
http://blackmountainend2end.blogspot.com/p/middle.html
Lee's Black Mountain Walk, End 2 End. I've been walking, talking and taking photographs for about 2hrs at this point. To get to Carreg yr Ogof from Waun Lefrith looks pretty straight forward both on the map and on the ground but unless you're familiar with the area or we've been lucky enough to have a prolonged dry spell, you have to choose your route sensibly to avoid the bogs. And predictably the other is number two. More information on these and other cairns can be found on my other blog. Eventually y...

Lee's Black Mountain Walk, End 2 End: Start
http://blackmountainend2end.blogspot.com/p/start.html
Lee's Black Mountain Walk, End 2 End. Saturday 4th September 2010. I felt like having a day on the hills after having a particularly busy and stressful week in work. I’d already been up to the bothy on Fan Brychieniog and Llyn y Fan Fawr the previous Thursday as the sunset looked promising but more to the point, I needed to get out. From here it’s another 20 minutes or so up the staircase (pictured below) and Bwlch Giedd to Fan Brycheiniog and the bothy. I have my own theory as to why:. Not wanting to co...

Lee's Black Mountain Walk, End 2 End: End
http://blackmountainend2end.blogspot.com/p/end.html
Lee's Black Mountain Walk, End 2 End. After some flattened cheese and ham sarnies and fighting the urge to nip down to the view point for an ice-cream, I crossed the A4069 and headed up towards. This is the first of a series of cairns on this final section of my walk. A few years back I was up here walking with Helen and our dogs when I spotted an arrangment of stones I imaginatively named. Man in the grass. Halfway across the first peat bog I jumped a mile as loud. This is the ancient, stone lined, drov...

Lee's Black Mountain Walk, End 2 End: Map
http://blackmountainend2end.blogspot.com/p/map.html
Lee's Black Mountain Walk, End 2 End. I discovered this mapping website while training for various events in 2008. I've no idea how accurate it is as I've no GPS to campare it to. I still find it useful as a yardstick and think it's accurate enough for my needs. Here is the route. I took for my Black Mountain End 2 End. You should also be aware that I have many years of experience and training in this area and I know only too well its changeable weather conditions. Diolch yn fawr, Lee.

Getting my life back! One walk, one challenge, one day at a time. South Wales, United Kingdom. And definitely hours planning that once I had made it as an actress (which is why Paul would fall madly in love with me) I would learn to fly a plane, hopefully it would help with my developing fear of heights, star in a west end show, have a hit single and buy a ranch somewhere that Paul and I could hear the wolves howling in the distance. Then I had dreams! Read the rest of my story starting at Broken Dreams.
