Korte geschiedenis van ons koor. Die uiteindelijk vijf jaar de muzikale leiding zou voeren. In die periode werd de vijfstemmige zang van The Blue Voices op vele optredens gehoord, bijvoorbeeld in een samenwerking met Ernst Daniel Smit, op de politiekorendag in de Grote Kerk van Dordrecht en diverse korenfestivals. Het tijdperk met Sjoerd werd in 2008 afgesloten met een groot lustrumconcert in Kunstmin in Dordrecht. Na een moeilijke zoektocht naar Sjoerds opvolger vonden we Guillermo Quintero Rojas. Onder...

Onze nieuwe dirigente, Dorine Maalcke, tekende op maandag 23 augustus 2015 het contract, waarmee onze samenwerking werd bezegeld. Dorine is begonnen met dirigeren toen ze 18 was, en ze haar eerste diploma directie behaalde. Dit was een diploma voor amateurdirigenten. Ze kon nu van haar hobby haar beroep maken: lesgeven in het bouwen van fluiten en ze bespelen. Dit doet ze nog steeds. Professioneel zocht ze het in de beeldende hoek en volgde ze een opleiding aan de kunstacademie in Arnhem.

Benefiet avond georganiseerd voor Stichting Racen tegen Kanker. Een aantal jaren geleden heeft Stichting Racen tegen Kanker. De familie Timmermans geholpen toen zij in de problemen waren gekomen door de ziekte kanker. Inmiddels gaat het wat beter met deze familie en dat heeft ze doen besluiten om wat te organiseren waarvan de opbrengst ten gunste komt van Stichting Racen tegen Kanker. Ze zijn druk bezig om een benefiet concert te organiseren wat op zaterdag 27 september in Dordrecht wordt gehouden.

Welkom op de website van The Blue Voices. The Blue Voices is een politievrouwenkoor van de eenheid Rotterdam, locatie Dordrecht. Ons popkoor is opgericht in 2003 en bestaat uit medewerksters van de politie in diverse functies en familieleden van politiepersoneel. Ongeveer 12 keer per jaar treden wij met heel veel plezier op in ontmoetingscentra, bejaarden-, zieken- en verzorgingshuizen en op korenfestivals, kerstmarkten en andere locaties. We streven naar variatie in genre, begeleiding en presentatie.
