After many years working for The Daily Mirror in London and a brief spell running a free house pub on the Welsh borders, David and family moved to the South in 1988. David decided to become a professional Toastmaster in 1988, and after passing all the necessary examinations, became a member of Britain's top toastmaster organisation, the National Association of Toastmasters, in 1991, The NAT has currently around 60 working members in the UK. Thanks to the landlords and landladies of the many hostelries who allowed us to perform, and especially the generosity of their customers, our Christmas 2016 tour allowed us to collect 1,350. With other donations to the mummers we have now raised about 2,000 in 2016 which will be used for the benefit of local children with special needs. UK Independence Party Dorset North. Our regular informal evening of food, drink and chat. Do one or all three! All are welcome members, their guests, prospective members or the just curious! Joint event with other local branches. This meeting is usually held on the first Thursday of each month at 7.30pm. Very occasionally this is varied. For example: the May 6th meeting was postponed to 13th May 2010 and the May 2nd 2013 meeting will be postponed to 9th May 2013. Looking forward to seeing you there!
