She is a friendly Golden Comet…they have the best temperaments! It was freezing out and she was sleeping on concrete. Yikes! Guineas…love em’ or leave em’! February 10, 2013. My Hike, 2014. I don't want to get to the end of my life and regret that I didn't do this. June 16, 2015. WHY DID I GO HOME EARLY? I had planned to hike 300 miles, I hiked 260 miles. I really thought 360 miles would be great, that would give me 900 miles of the AT. I got off at 800 miles total on the AT. This years hike did not have the same FLAVOR as last years. Some of the reasons, not in any order of importance are…. I missed my wife, she is my best friend and my goddess. Sage Ravine Campsite CT.

I’ve been at the Budget Inn in Buena Vista VA for the last two nights. I’m waiting for an AT shuttle trail angel, Joe, to take me to Staunton VA and a train home. My Hike, 2014. I don't want to get to the end of my life and regret that I didn't do this. April 26, 2015. THREE DAYS TILL DEPARTURE. So am I all packed? I think I’m all set, just have to stuff it into the “green monster”. Yes, I named my pack last year. It sure is cheaper the second year, I dropped more than two grand before I started last year. This year only three hundred most on the train ticket and food. Made a heavier pot stand for my stove and new water bottles. April 15, 2015. AT thru hike 2014.
