http://teamroark.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
The best things in life aren't things. Sunday, April 19, 2015. Kansas may not sound like Disneyland to most people but ask Maddy where she wants to go and "Kansas! Is always her answer. Who can blame her when Kansas means lots of people who love her, free-flowing candy and fun adventures. Monday, April 13, 2015. Six months ago, our little man ran into our lives. Literally, ran. He probably would have run at just about anyone at the moment because he was so overwhelmed. But thankfully, he ran ...We have l...

TeamRoark: March 2014
http://teamroark.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
The best things in life aren't things. Sunday, March 2, 2014. In December, our nanny went on vacation. Nonnie stepped up to take her place. Lots of baking was done. And then it was eaten. Saturday, March 1, 2014. Sanka, Sanka, Wave me! I'm starting to resign myself that there are some things I like here in Michigan. One of them is the ND club. Breakfast with Santa. In an Irish pub. Who needs more, really? Mass in a pub. Clearly, as the Apostles would have wanted it. Wave me, Sanka! Sanka, Sanka, Wave me!

TeamRoark: February 2014
http://teamroark.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
The best things in life aren't things. Friday, February 28, 2014. One of my favorite memories and events has always been Thanksgiving/Christmas in Iowa. My grandparents celebrated both holidays on Thanksgiving weekend so they could see their children, grandchildren and later, great-grandchildren all at once. There's nothing like sharing the holiday with 75 or so relatives. All different stages and walks of life, one big family in one big farmhouse. Heading out to feed the cows. Uncle Gerald had lots.

TeamRoark: October 2013
http://teamroark.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
The best things in life aren't things. Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Maddy year 1 Large. One year. This is the good life. We are working on a slideshow for our little one so that one day she will be able to see a nice montage of her first year with us. There are some "technical glitches" for the time being, but I wanted to get something up on our Gotcha Day Anniversary. Who had not been waiting at all? One of many wonderful little expressions. Cute enough to survive her father doing her hair. It takes a pret...

TeamRoark: July 2014
http://teamroark.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
The best things in life aren't things. Thursday, July 31, 2014. It's no secret that my husband wanted a daughter. We have 4 nieces- now teenagers- who are the best things since sliced bread and he always wanted a girl just as neat as they are. And by neat, I don't mean tidy, I mean cool. Definitely, not tidy. So, when we began our journey to Mads, we were pursuing a daughter. And we were following the journey. And gosh darn it, was he adorable. So, we marked 'either'. After a quick page to Chris, we agre...

In college, I participated in a philanthropic project called 'Christmas in April'. I'll pretend I'm remembering that. We've been a little busy. BOY, do we have news.

TeamRoark: June 2013
http://teamroark.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
The best things in life aren't things. Monday, June 17, 2013. Chris and I have been blessed to be members of the parish of the Basilica of St. Mary. Before we moved, we wanted to make sure our girl was baptized in this special church. Despite the rain (and a Godmother with food poisoning) we made it through the day with a lovely mass. May this be the beginning of a wonderful journey of Faith, my sweet girl. Sunday, June 16, 2013. May flew by and June is doing the same! Trying on Poppi's glasses. Watermar...

TeamRoark: Where have the last 3 months gone?!?
http://teamroark.blogspot.com/2015/01/where-have-last-3-months-gone.html
The best things in life aren't things. Sunday, January 11, 2015. Where have the last 3 months gone? Somehow between parenting two children, working full time and the holidays, we haven't found time to update the blog. Surprising, right? This week (on my birthday, actually) we will have been a family of 4 for three months. In some ways, it feels like Max has always been here, in other ways, we feel like such rookies at this two kid thing. Aunt Ana came to visit for Thanksgiving which was just the right am...

The best things in life aren't things. Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Due to taking time off when Maddy came home, I was unable to go to the pulmonary national meeting this year. While my colleagues were in Philadelphia, I had a breakfast date with this cutie. I definitely got the better deal. Sunday, May 26, 2013. So to our wonderful Aunt Eater, thank you for coming. We all had a wonderful time and can't wait to see you again. We love you! Ana is sure to have Fancy Nancy. Attempting to feed the goats. Note the ...

TeamRoark: January 2015
http://teamroark.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
The best things in life aren't things. Tuesday, January 13, 2015. First Birthday at Shanghai Healing Home. Not a happy camper. Max celebrated his first birthday with several other December babies, most of whom are now home with their families as well. He had some tears in those pictures and when I saw those pictures, I promised him that there would be no tears on his 2nd birthday. He would have his own cake. We would joyfully celebrate this boy. Being told no- he's two- what do we expect? Where have the ...
