Tales from a Gaijin Biking Across the Land of Samurai, Salarymen and Sushi…. What’s a Gaijin With a Koto and a Bike? Wannabe Essayist Gone Dry. For those who have read any of whatever rambles I wrote before I come to Japan, I guess you’d agree that, mediocre as the ramblings might have been, they were less mediocre than the content of this blog. Here I’m not talking about the experiences documented on the blog, but rather the quality of the documentation. Revolutions, Tsunamis, etc…. When mom or dad or m...

Tales from a Gaijin Biking Across the Land of Samurai, Salarymen and Sushi…. What’s a Gaijin With a Koto and a Bike? I have been reading some of what I have written during my first months in Japan, published here or elsewhere, and it felt weirder than I thought it would. For reasons we all know, I seem to have lost the ability to humorously blog about Japan, and also lost the ability to jokingly list comparisons between Egypt and Japan. Tales from a Gaijin Biking Across the Land of Samurai, Salarymen and Sushi…. What’s a Gaijin With a Koto and a Bike? Feels Like Home…. Today Osaka feels like home…. Literally. Gaijins who fly home because they watch too much CNN and think they will turn into radioactive individuals. We haven't arrived and we'e mutated already. Yes, there are always things you can do. Chris' Kansai Exploits クリスの関西の冒険. August 8, 2010. Seemingly not. Wierd. I’ve had anxiety about all the annoying parts of preparation such as visas and weight limits (20kg with a $42/kilo penalty rate, ow), but in regards to the exchange itself I’m fine. My “oh s* *” moment still might be yet to come, I’ll just have to see…. 4 Comments ». Nice blog you have here…. Breaking the 20-days-left barrier feels very strange right? Things start going with break-neck speed! 8212; August 8, 2010 @ 9:38 pm. Nice to g...
