The Ever-Changing Kitchen: March 2010

http://theeverchangingkitchen.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 24 March 2010. Tonight, Stefanie is cooking me and my flatmate Holly dinner. A couple of weeks ago I cooked this recipe for her and she was inspired. It's a dish that is quite easy, but looks. Like it takes a lot of preparation (and that's what counts). And the best part is, those you cook it for will be fighting over the last bits. 1 clove garlic, minced. 3/4 cup/6 oz/ 170g butter. 1/2 cup/2 oz/55 g grated parmesan. 2 tbsp chopped cilantro/coriander. I won't be posting all that much over the ...

Monday, 23 May 2011. Pea and Mint Soup. Yes, yes, I know. Where have I beeeeeeeeeen? Unfortunately, until now university and other general life things have gotten in the way of both my cooking time and my writing time. However, exams are over now and with the summer approaching and all the new opportunities that it brings I'm committed to getting back to some serious cooking, eating, and prattling. And Pimms drinking. I love Pimms. One recipe that does all the above (and is perfect for our wonderful summ...

The Ever-Changing Kitchen: Maté Cupcakes

http://theeverchangingkitchen.blogspot.com/2010/11/mate-cupcakes.html

Monday, 1 November 2010. I love tea. I also love cupcakes. And when the two come together, well, it's pretty magical. For me, this joining together of awesome and awesomer only ever seemed to come in the form of a cupcake accompanied by a cup of tea. that is, until quite recently. I had been thinking for a while about infusing tea into some baked goods, and then, when over at a pal's and perusing their cookbook selection, I had a nose into the book, Cupcakes from the Primrose Bakery. In Chicago. This...

The Ever-Changing Kitchen: November 2010

http://theeverchangingkitchen.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Saturday, 27 November 2010. So, I realised some time ago that I hadn't celebrated Thanksgiving since 2005. This kind of upset me, and I felt like I was missing out. So I decided that I would cook Thanksgiving dinner for my housemates on the day. Then we invited a couple more people. Then a couple more. Before I knew it I was preparing to cook a meal for 15 people. And you know what? It was. awesome. Everyone came over, we drank, we ate far too much food, and we were merry. Pigs in blankets (thank you Kat).

The Ever Changing Life of a Military Wife

Tuesday, April 15, 2014. So much has happened in the past month. Cooper hit 6 months adjusted on March 25th, and turned 9 months actual yesterday, April 14. When he turned 6 months adjusted, we started solid foods. First squash, then sweet potato, pear, green beans, banana, and apple. He does very well with all foods, but certainly prefers pear and apple. It's tough to get in the first few bites, but once he gets the taste, I can't shovel it in fast enough! Next up, carrot, plum, peaches, and peas! We ar...

The Ever Changing Motherhood. Wednesday, May 9, 2012. I agree with the President. It is about time that we had a president in this country that is for same sex marriage. The anti gay marriage feelings in this country are no different than the anti minority or anti women ones we had to deal with decades ago. The United States is discriminating against a whole demographic of people and somehow this is suppose to be okay. Posted by Marsha Bullock. Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Modern Parents are Crazy.
