Saturday, November 1, 2008. Amelia had a blast this year joining her playgroup friends at Joan's Farm in Livermore to pick out pumpkins. We also had fun at a neighbor's pumpkin carving party.Paul picked out this cute ghost design and Julie set to work carving it! We tried a couple of costume ideas for Amelia, but what she wanted to be most was a ladybug! She absolutely loves ladybugs and begs me to find them for her while I'm working in the garden (picking beans, usually)! Sea Lions at Pier 39.

Tuesday, November 11, 2008. Sea Lions at Pier 39. We walked back along the Embarcadero to the Ferry Building, where we ate lunch and took a look at the beautiful old mosaic of the Great Seal of the State of California on the second floor. The farmer's market was also operating that day, so we had a chance to sample some artisanal cheeses and olive oil. It was great! Saturday, November 1, 2008.
