In 1988, Nick Saloman, the one-man epicenter of latter-day British psychedelia (co-boss of Woronzow Records, publisher of The Ptolemaic Terrascope and brains behind The Bevis Frond) herded a hand-picked bunch of collaborators into a converted pigsty near London's Heathrow Airport. The vocals are so sweet and lovely at the beginning of the songs - but stick with it, bite through, just keep listening and be blown away *winks*. Fuzzy proggy psychedelic rock. Round the Edges *f. Tuesday, March 1, 2011. All the way from the past. Alive and kicking since 1978 - related to the Gong family. I dig their earlier sound (from the 70's) some nice psychedelic, spacy vibes. They lost me completely in the 80's though, never really cared for 80's music, proggy, space or otherwise *grins*. But up from the 90's caught my attention again, moving more towards space.
