In 2004, a small group of community volunteers got together with the idea of helping the elderly of Dripping Springs, with a focus of keeping them living independently at home. The Friends Foundation came to life in March 2004. Several years later, with the help of our members, supporters, volunteers and the community, we now have many outstanding programs which take care of our valuable senior citizens. Our Daily Bread. This is your opportunity to enroll in or renew your Friends of The Friends Foundation membership. Your tax deductible contribution has made and will continue to make a difference in the lives of the elderly in the greater Dripping Springs area by helping provide much needed services. Some of The Friends Foundations programs include:. Our Daily Bread (a 100% locally funded meals on wheels type program). Financial support for hearing aids, eyeglasses, dentures, medical bills, utilities, rent etc.

Friends Foundation - Eligibility Guidelines and Policies

Financial Assistance is our only program where qualifying is based on an applicants income. All requests for Financial Assistance must include proof of residency in the greater Dripping Springs area. Requests must further include the applicants physical address and mailing address, home and work telephone numbers, fax number, and e-mail address. For the Austin/San Marcos Metropolitan Statistical Area as adjusted annually by HUD. Dentures and Dental exams. Hearing aids and Hearing exams.
