WIP Wednesday: Solutions for digital businesses and EU VAT - The Giddy Knitter

http://thegiddyknitter.com/2014/11/19/wip-wednesday-solutions-digital-businesses-eu-vat

WIP Wednesday: Solutions for digital businesses and EU VAT. November 19, 2014. If you’re selling knitting or crochet patterns through Ravelry, never fear! Ravelry and Loveknitting are teaming up to save us from this mess. You can read Casey’s announcement here! This is becoming a depressingly common sight on Etsy right now. What’s going on? Surely this won’t really happen? What are we supposed to do? Show a message to EU peeps. Set a custom message, and optionally exclude your own country from the blocker.

When knitting needles attack - The Giddy Knitter

http://thegiddyknitter.com/2015/07/03/when-knitting-needles-attack

When knitting needles attack. July 3, 2015. Knitters of the world, I need your advice. So there’s this thing, on my finger. It goes away when I stop knitting, it comes back when I start again. It gets a lot worse when I knit something on small needles, for example these socks I’ve inexplicably just cast on. I keep spelling it “Herimone’s Everyday Socks” instead. This photo brought to you by nervous nailbiting. Help I’m doing it wrong. Am I the only person this happens to? I would like to receive. Might b...

His 'n' hers vanilla socks - only two years late! - The Giddy Knitter

http://thegiddyknitter.com/2015/06/26/his-n-hers-vanilla-socks

His ‘n’ hers vanilla socks – only two years late! June 26, 2015. In early 2013, when I first got into knitting, one thing I didn’t quite understand was this tendency to knit socks. As a person who prefers to be barefoot whenever it’s appropriate (and sometimes when it’s not) socks seem to be like more an unnecessary social convention than a thing to celebrate and love. Yeah, I can knit that no problem. His and hers sock yarn. Bless. To await binding off. Where they remained for approximately 8 months.

A very yellow Mary Jane - The Giddy Knitter

http://thegiddyknitter.com/2015/07/17/a-very-yellow-mary-jane

A very yellow Mary Jane. July 17, 2015. Behold my very yellow, slightly shiny, Mary Jane. Desperate times call for desperate photos, ok? This is a pattern. I LOVE IT ANYWAY! A proper look at the texture, to apologise for the blurry mess above. I’ll update this post with less blurry pics later, I promise. I would like to receive. All the pre-photographed things. Half a sock and half a slightly less wonky jumper. You may also like. WIP Wednesday: Knitting Design-a-thon. 17 Sep, 2014. 9 Jul, 2014. Notify me...

The triumphant return - The Giddy Knitter

http://thegiddyknitter.com/2015/06/17/the-triumphant-return

June 17, 2015. Well that’s it. The holiday of a lifetime. Is over, and we’re back to our mundane little lives. We’ve only been back for a couple of weeks, and most of that was spent recovering properly from the 8 hour time difference and then recovering from general illness, but memories of the trip are already starting to fade. This makes me sad. Luckily we blogged every detail. So we’ll never forget. Excuse the bra, I’ll get a better pic soon. My very own Lambeau Leap. Eurovision in a gay bar in SF&#46...

The Soaring Sheep: Keep Calm Craft On

http://thesoaringsheep.blogspot.com/2015/07/keep-calm-craft-on.html

Tuesday, 28 July 2015. Keep Calm Craft On. As far as crafting goes I've not really achieved very much but I thought I'd share it with you anyway. I've finished the body of Mr Soaring Sheep's sweater and it's now awaiting sleeves and a shawl collar. I'm ignoring it for a bit because keeping track of shaping is a bit beyond my brain right now. I've finished the bottom off with some k2p2 ribbing. I did take a photo but it's come out so dark you can't really see much. Not sure when I'll be back. I'd like...

and all that yarn: Red Rocks

http://andallthatyarn.blogspot.com/2014/04/red-rocks.html

And all that yarn. My knitting adventures and the talented people I meet along the way. Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Not too much knitting going on lately as I have been out and about visiting some of our beautiful natural wonders. First, a short trip to Red Rocks. These pictures won't do this area justice, it is really spectacular and also home to a red rock amphitheater that has been hosting big name musical groups for years. The Beatles were here in 1964 and I wonder what they thought of this place:.

Honey Nutbrown's: Knitting!: My Year in Temperatures -Scarf-

http://400squareftliving.blogspot.com/2013/01/knitting-my-year-in-temperatures-scarf.html

Wednesday, January 2, 2013. My Year in Temperatures -Scarf-. This is a conceptual knitting pattern that will look different for everyone who knits it. In this pattern, you record the day's highest temperature by knitting one row in the colour designated for each temperature. At the end of the year, you will have a visual colourful graph of the temperatures of your area for a whole year. Knit two rows in white at the start of each month, if you would like to keep track of the separate months. Cant wait to...

Identity Crisis Knitting | whendidibecomeaknitter

https://whendidibecomeaknitter.wordpress.com/2015/03/03/identity-crisis-knitting

Knitting, spinning, and fibre related things. March 3, 2015. I’ve made Jaywalkers. I know that if it is a self-striping yarn it will most likely look something like this. Or maybe even like this. Until now. The only things I can say us that this pair, my newest of my beloved Jaywalkers, is having an identity crisis. They have no idea what they want to be. Truly, there is some multiple personality disorder happening here. Big stripes, little stripes, all out chaos? Forget order. Defy expectation! By Carin...

Adventures of an imperfectionist. Tuesday, December 09, 2014. FOs: Catkin Hat and Rye Mitts. I'm sure this is a common knitterly problem. I have very few matching accessories. Scarves/shawls generally use one skein, so if I wanted a matching hat or mitts, I'd need to plan ahead and get two. Pretty single skeins are usually impulse purchases for me - planning ahead? The Giddy Goat

Saturday, January 10. Is a delicious and easy recipe. I always add in some veg to give it some addded substance - sugar snap peas or green beans are great in it. Also this recipe says it serves 6 - I would be more inclined to use it to serve 4 and just use 3 or 4 chicken breasts. Posted by Eva Caulwell. Wednesday, January 7. For the very easy recipe. The Giddy Limit

Friday, July 28, 2006. The reason for the name of this blog. Yes, the mental image that pops up is a bit unnerving. There were some other good stories as well, as rich in content for what she DIDN'T say (at first) as well as what the did say. Anyway, that is where the idea of the giddy limit was born, and I'll bet for those of you who haven't heard this phrase before that you are wondering how you could have lived your life without hearing it until now.
