http://newyoungelder.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
The New Young Elder and The Experience of Change. The experiences of a young Quaker with new feeling for what religion is to me. Sunday, October 01, 2006. My parents 20th wedding aniversary was on September 20th and Grace and I organized making them a quilt. We did it all over the email to get the fabric and then we made the actual quilt while they were out of the house and at a friends house. More pictures on flickr. Posted by Rebecca Sullivan. The New Young Elder and The Experience of Change. The experiences of a young Quaker with new feeling for what religion is to me. Saturday, January 06, 2007. I have been really busy recently between getting into college and school. The good news is that I have gotten into Guilford College with a scholarship and more options ahead. The not so good news is that I have a few more weeks before I hear from Earlham. Ps I am loving the messages others are giving even though I am not writing some of my own.

Nontheist Friends: Quaker atheists, agnostics, humanists, and others who practice Quakerism without supernatural beliefs. May 10, 2007. Circle 1 = God. Circle 2 = the natural world. Circle 1 minus Circle 2 = the supernatural world. Circle 3 = mental life. Circle 4 = consciousness. Circle three minus circle 2 = the unconscious. By definition, what exists is natural. Therefore, there is no supernatural. I don’t need another word for nature. View all posts by James Riemermann →. May 12, 2007 at 10:34 pm.

To Know Stillness: Stillness and Results
http://toknowstillness.blogspot.com/2007/03/stillness-and-results.html
Be Still and know that I am God.". Friday, March 23, 2007. At my first School of the Spirit (SOS) retreat last week, someone said they were all about results. I saw myself in that statement. I like to see results. On my list of readings for SOS, it makes me feel good every time I can check one off as read. I admit I first read a few shorter pieces just so there is not a whole unread list facing me and causing anxiety. My longing for that peace and stillness is a grace from God that will help me. So if yo...

Sparks of Spirit: March 2006
http://sparksofspirit.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
Staying Present to the Spirit in My Life. March 28, 2006. Be Still and Know; A writing from July 2005. This is a writing from a year ago as I found myself in a crisis of identity in my Quaker journey. Needless to say, my journey has continued since I wrote this a year ago, but I continue to be moved by the experience. Be Still And Know. A Quaker Journey Seeking the Spirit. Be Still. Be Still. Be Still and Know. Know that I Am. Know that I am. Be Still and Know that I am Listening. I hear the phrase.

A new Friend seeking meaning and Light. What I Did Post Operatively. Lest it be understood I have spent the entire past two months necking with Morpheus and watching police procedurals and The Best of Mother Angelica Live! I actually did some writing (though not enough), read a great deal, did work on various Friendly projects - - enough, I think to keep from going completely buggy. But as a sabbatical from work, it has a lot to be desired. Some things I learned:. And " Did thee yield? Links to this post.

A new Friend seeking meaning and Light. Christian Love and Language. I'm always struck how easily other Quakers on the 'Net explicate their faith; I feel tongue-tied and strangely inarticulate in comparison. When I wrote a little about my discomfort with Christianity expressed a couple of posts ago, it was really a crude rendering of a subject that for me is exceedingly complex - - very apparent to me when I reread my posting. I am afraid of this language which I associate with hate and exclusion. Ye...

A new Friend seeking meaning and Light. I'm not a bad blog writer, just a clumsy one. Which is to explain my long absence from this place. I had expected not to be writing much here, in the first place, being spring and all: May and June are busy months for any serious gardener, and I had several hundred plants raised carefully from seed, to go into the ground. Lesson #1: Baseball is a dangerous game, after all, and I'm not twenty anymore, either. She said to me, "What a rich life you have! Another lesso...
