Wednesday, July 14. Who peed in the pool? Here she is creating a tital wave that threw the barbies out (by the way. the barbies do not have bathing suits, and were forced to skinny dip). And here she is frantically covering the barbies from the camera, because of their lack of proper swimming attire. Friday, August 28. Restoration on the little house is coming along. I hope to have pictures up. For some reason, the camera is hiding from me at the moment. At any rate, this weekend we will finish power washing the outside of the house and then begin the painting process. the upstairs is more finished than unfinished (which is more than can be said about any other part of the house). a few coats of paint and carpet and we will nearly be in business! Check back tomorrow for pictures :). Tuesday, August 11.

Tuesday, March 3. Let is snow, let it snow, let it SNOW. Sunday night Jake and I fell fast asleep to what Virginias call "blizzard-like conditions." We were hopeful of two things:. 1) We would get more than an inch of snow. 2) We would get so much that we would be forced to stay home from school and enjoy the fluffy white stuff! Much to our surprise and excitement, both wishes came true! Needless to say, we enjoyed the day off and wandered about our winter wonderland. Almost up-to-my-knees in trouble.

Friday, March 13, 2009. Just a quick post with the latest photos from our spring break ice fishing trip. We snow shoed 6.8 miles into our camp on square lake in northern Maine for three days of winter fun. . Anna wants me to clarify that she caught ALL of these fish. Anna's enormous 4lbs salmon. Anna cooking bacon and eggs for breakfast! The hike back was a bit colder. 14 degrees and 35 mph winds. The hike to camp with pack and sled. By far the biggest salmon we've ever pulled out of the lake.

So for valentine's day my wife surprised me by making this romantic little candle lit dessert for me. What was on the menu? Chocolate covered strawberries and red velvet cheesecake. thats right.
