http://thecarriganslife.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Marc and I really cherish the time we are able to spend with both of our families. We frequently talk about how we wish we had more time to share with everyone (we have some big families! After a while, Isaac really warmed up to Poppy. Poppy might be 89, but he was crawling around on the floor with Isaac like he might have forgotten his own age. Shh! Don't tell him. :). Isaac is crawling full speed now at 9 months! Pappaw with some of his great grandchildren. Then it was time f...

This is Life: God In Our Midst Part 3: Grief
http://webbersinafrica.blogspot.com/2014/10/god-in-our-midst-part-3-grief.html
Tuesday, October 28, 2014. God In Our Midst Part 3: Grief. I want to acknowledge that as many people are under the sun today, there are that many different ways to describe grief and loss, and in particular the loss of a child through miscarriage or other means. I do not assume to be able to relate to what others' grief feels like because it is impossible for me to know. I just know my own.and this is it. They say that in the initial stages of grief, you feel like one large bruise. It's like an amputation.

Sunday, January 25, 2015. Creating Space to Breathe. In coming back to the States, one of our main objectives was to create some space to breathe. Living in Bundibugyo can sometimes feel like living in a pressure cooker (I know, you've heard that before.). Which then makes coming back to the US feel like an explosive bottle of champagne at a New Years Eve party. We attempted {fairly well}. To protect family time and not overcommit ourselves with social engagements. And then we set aside time to get a...

Support the Dr. Jonah Memorial Leadership Fund. Friday, August 29, 2014. Today we watched Caleb march onto the parade field with 4000 other cadets, a precision spectacle of blue uniforms, white gloves, drums and flags. All the parents and spectators rose, instructed to put our right hand over our heart as the national anthem played. A cannon fired, bugles sounded, and a formidable number of healthy strong young men and women moved into position. Wednesday, August 27, 2014. This picture, from Mardi, makes...

Lilli with a kidney infection;. In Kampala, our car would not start when we were trying to get her to the hospital;. One rat was so bold as to stand on my foot- Eeeeek! Tuesday, June 26, 2012. I try not to post photos that may be too descriptive of life here. This photo of a child with measles, however, captures the current feeling of our medical ministry. This blogpost is mainly to ask for prayer. We also find that there is an increase in premature births. Our premie room becomes filled with nursing mothers kangarooing their tiny infants. We supplement the feeding with droppers of formula and add presumptive antibiotic treatment. The girls played in Fort Portal and won...
