The thoughts i think, but usually not for long. November 13, 2013. O give me the soul of a brown bear,. Lend me her skin. That I may sleep the winter through. In a mulch of leaves and dreams. Beneath the roots of a tree. To wake when the world is new. Aroused by slow warmth. And the reborn sun,. I’ll hunt the quicksilver salmon,. And pluck summer’s berries. Claws stained red,. I’ll grow fat, sleek and contented,. Preparing for the moist silence. And the cold thought-less dark. August 22, 2013. While babo...

Remembrance | Sometimes i love
https://sometimesilove.wordpress.com/2015/02/10/remembrance
The thoughts i think, but usually not for long. February 10, 2015. My black cat lives in night’s pockets,. Screams like a peacock in the dark. I hear his wail and try to think of God. As the Sufis say I should. Where to find me. It’s the suffering of old age. That cries out for company, for food, for love. He is empty,. Stuffed with nameless desire. That lives in his stomach,. In the hollow above his pelvis. In the sway of his back. And in the stink of his breath. I hear the cry and awaken to memory.

About | Sometimes i love
https://sometimesilove.wordpress.com/about
The thoughts i think, but usually not for long. Those thoughts that flash through your mind every day. The ones that roll like quicksilver on an enamel plate. The numbers that flicker on the screen before a movie. A mouse skittering across the kitchen floor. A centipede in a woodpile. Shooting stars at night. Dreams buried under your pillow. Words slouching, slumbering, hiding. At the back of your mind. On the tip of your tongue. Do you remember them? Responses to “About”. Feed for this Entry.

Time passes | Sometimes i love

The thoughts i think, but usually not for long. August 22, 2013. I’m watching the slow dance of dust motes in a sunbeam. As they enter and leave in a never-ending flow. I wonder if god sees the universe. As a drifting waltz of ephemeral beings. Floating on cosmic currents. I wonder where the dust comes from. And how it rises unseen,. And why it endlessly falls. the Henry blog | a love story
October 31, 2016. October 31, 2016. Henry and Chip supervise the neighborhood. The First Henryversary – Paper. September 28, 2016. Henry and I have been here together about a year now. One of the million tasks has been to coordinate the removal the Raccoon Tree at the end of the driveway. The Raccoon Tree is a gorgeous, though quite rotten, maple tree* that must be approximately as old as Henry. So maybe 125 years, give or take? I’m dodging a major bullet on this one! New landscaping for the front yard.
