october challenge: use your feet | the intentional penny
https://theintentionalpenny.wordpress.com/2014/10/01/october-challenge-use-your-feet
Striving to live an intentional life, down to the penny. October challenge: use your feet. October 1, 2014. We currently live in a very well located apartment complex (props to the Husband for finding it in a frantic one-weekend search! 10 minutes max from my husband’s work. Target right around the corner. Plenty of restaurants. FedEx office, Rack Room shoes. The list goes on. And nestled amongst them all, a very large grocery store, only slightly over half a mile away. So that’s it! Clean out our closet...

Striving to live an intentional life, down to the penny. Goal-setting: debt-free by 2015. October 10, 2014. Sorry for the week of silence here. I know you were all waiting with bated breath…but I have big news for today! Our debt repayment plan has never been a particularly specific one. We simply knew we should throw as much extra money at loans as possible. And so that’s what we’ve been doing. (Usually.) We never settled on a goal as many people do; like DebtFreeJD’s. My birthday’s in October! A great ...

Striving to live an intentional life, down to the penny. Curating a thoughtful wardrobe. September 26, 2014. Okay, so. I have a bad habit. Enthusiastically start a project. Spread everything everywhere with the valiant thought, “Soon you will be organized! Get distracted by something. Items in question lie out for a few days. Husband gets fed up. Items get shoved in corner. A few days later, I get fed up with the lack of floor space, and put everything out of sight. Yeahhh, not so much. Out of my wardrobe.

Striving to live an intentional life, down to the penny. Life: 1, Mrs TIP: 0. October 16, 2014. Sometimes, life just bowls you over. Hello, October. you seem innocent enough. Stomach viruses, new and sudden medical issues, terminally ill family members, educational decisions, babies that scream until 1am — it just all rushes in at once and you find yourself. Sleeping on the bathroom floor. Or try to write a review of a budgeting software. How does this compare to what’s happening in real. Life is always ...

Striving to live an intentional life, down to the penny. Author Archives: mrs TIP. The trouble with Financial Independence blogs. March 5, 2015. We awoke this morning to about 4 inches of snow and ice. The sun was peeking through the trees, the snow glistening and immaculately white (pardon my cliches, snow is not my forte). This is the most snow we’ve gotten all season (what can I say, it’s the South). We’re still in debt, so he has to go to work. The trouble with FI blogs? But there is a flip side.

The Single Dollar: September 2014
http://thesingledollar.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
A personal finance blog focusing on the journey of a 30-something single woman. Debt, savings, retirement, investing, accountability. Tuesday, September 30, 2014. I'm at six months today! Here is my first post. And here is my second. Which I'm still pretty pleased with. The metaphor seems apt. But I really am grateful for everyone who has been reading and keeping me on track. It is way more fun to think about this out loud with an audience! Sunday, September 28, 2014. A couple more FFF questions:. I also...

Wednesday, April 23, 2014. My take on Sunday mornings. I follow Jon Gabriel on Twitter ( @exjon. And I read his articles and found his perspectives on the music and architecture of American modern churches. Pic courtesy Saint Louis University. About that time, I also began hearing stories about craftsmen that spent their entire lives carving birds in cathedrals. Taking all that into consideration, this is still hilarious. Thursday, November 7, 2013. As many of you know we finished Baby Step 2 of paying o...

The Intentional Parent
This was shared by my sweet friend Lauren, Mom to an adorable daughter and son both under 2! One of Abby Kate's favorite activities it taking a paintbrush and huge bowl of water and painting the sidewalks! This was written by my sweet friend Lindsey, mother of three girls (two of which are twins). Love to hear ideas like this! One thing that we almost always do with Emma (the twins aren't quite old enough yet) is to. I loved this post by my precious friend Christina. Love the Lord your God with all your ...
