Thursday, December 20, 2012. SQL Convert Date Function. Sometimes we need to extract a DateTime value from Database. It looks like this. '12/25/2012 12:33:33pm'. (aka MM/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss). And what we really need is for it to be in different format. e.g. So we use SQL Convert to do the conversion instead of using frontend code (faster IMO). SELECT CONVERT (VARCHAR(100), GETDATE(), 103);. The main key is the 3rd parameter. there are some other formats available. 106 gives '25 Dec 2012'.

Btw to cut long story short, i've come to realised that Property Agent as a job is not suitable for my character. So i've ended the job and i am now back in IT work in NCS. Life of a guy who has been around your life. Lucas is 4 years Old. Yeap happy birthday Lucas! I was still in transit when his birthday arrived. and when i landed, it was over. Muhaha. so anyways. I came home and we still sang a song. he still managed to cut his own birthday cake. We got him some gifts as well. Presenting. THE CAKE! And hes ready to cut it! Presenting the present he chose! Looking forward to 1st May. my lovely public holiday. In case you're not aware.i have switched jobs. again. Joined NCS in Aug 2012. found a better job in 2013! Some people say its not a good idea to keep switching jobs. but essentially I am doing the same job, just with a different company. Several things i think i'll do this year.
