The Joys of My Boys. A journal documenting life with my boys: Cole (9 yrs), Jay (7 yrs), and Rob. Thursday, October 31, 2013. The first day of school was fairly uneventful, except that the boys had no school supplies! I thought I had ordered them through a service that has all the gear waiting at the school. I thought wrong. I received two notes and two disgruntled boys at the end of the day. At least the boys themselves were prepared! I can't believe Cole is a 4th grader. Jay is ready for 2nd grade.

I say "finally" because he has been waiting to go to the BIG SCHOOL since Cole started two years ago. As usual, his favorite classmates are girls. Cecelia, his friend from preschool. We went with Drew's parents to the last concert in the outdoor summer symphony series. The music was fabulous and ended with the 1812 overture with real cannons and fireworks. Combine that with a great picnic and it made for a wonderful evening. I am doing research for my university paper, thanks for your brilliant points, now I am acting on a sudden impulse.
