Every Seven Years...: Poem #6 of 31 - Gone
http://every7years.blogspot.com/2009/07/poem-6-of-31-gone.html
Looking Back and Thinking Ahead. July 11, 2009. Poem #6 of 31 - Gone. That's the last thing I heard as the door slammed. And life became one bulb dimmer. Sometimes its not until the light goes out,. You realize how fast darkness is. The space between day and dusk,. Dusk and darkness,. Is only a few words long. Spoken out of anger or hurt or some other sort of pain. The speed at which things can change can be surprising. That door slammed and I realized. That a piece of me was walking down that hallway.

Every Seven Years...: Stef's 31/31
http://every7years.blogspot.com/2009/07/stefs-3131.html
Looking Back and Thinking Ahead. July 6, 2009. Sooooo. I've decided that I'm going to do a 30/30 (30 poems in 30 days) challenge for myself. And, of course, I wouldn't be me if I didn't take the rules and bend them to my liking. So here I present the 1st of my 31 (yes, 31) poems. Enjoy! Or don't whatever, lol) Hopefully by day 15 or so, they'll actually be good. Not Always, But. Its not always about what I want. Sometimes its about the reality of the situation. Its not always about me, and my desires.

Every Seven Years...: March 2008
http://every7years.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Looking Back and Thinking Ahead. March 28, 2008. This So Called Life, Pt. 1. After 25, all your friendships go downhill. This, my friends, is a sad fact of life. Twenty-five is that age where people begin to get into ‘real’ adult relationships. These things are to friendships as silver bullets are to werewolves. Especially if the friends we’re talking about are women. Assumption that friendships, once they reach a certain point, no longer require attention and/or nurturing. This one is a well [ researched.

Looking Back and Thinking Ahead. July 8, 2009. Poem #3 of 31 - Leaves. I'm on an effing roll! Sitting under a maple tree in Prospect Park, I daydreamed a poem. It was beautiful, overflowing. Waters gentle caressing piers in the twilight. Full of simile, like. Leaves falling at the speed of sound,. This poem is me. I am under a tree. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). They will be hidden to all but the most reflective of souls. Singing to the birds when the Sun rose. Once dawn was done. An orchestra of one.

Looking Back and Thinking Ahead. July 8, 2009. Stef's 31/31 - Bonus Track (lol). I wrote this a while ago, but its one of my faves:. Everytime i say your name. I hurt a little bit less. I take back pieces of me. Between love and hate. My heart has eight pieces. I left your house. That one you can keep. But I still have to put the rest back. What I have now. Is not what i had before. It is at the time. When i am the most broken. That I am best able. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Poem #6 of 31 - Gone.
