KnitterRooney: June 2008
http://knitterrooney.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
A Yunkie (Yarn Junkie) comes clean. Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Can you guess what this is? I've been meaning to crochet this blanket. For the longest time - I went for my first lesson over a year ago, promptly forgot my skills through lack of practise which meant that I had to have a refresher at Flib's's hooker party. I think I'm getting there though,. have a look at these. (Note to self - do not use variegated yarn when you are trying to figure out unfamiliar crochet stitches! Another result of being un...

KnitterRooney: February 2009
http://knitterrooney.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
A Yunkie (Yarn Junkie) comes clean. Thursday, February 19, 2009. Espace Killy - you kill me! I've waxed lyrical about previous holidays here. On our last night which also happened to be the chalet staff's evening off, Gruff and I went off in search of our calorie-rich, artery clogging raclette ( Lucy. You may wish to look away now). KnitterRooney: January 2009
http://knitterrooney.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
A Yunkie (Yarn Junkie) comes clean. Tuesday, January 06, 2009. I am crawling out of hibernation to say a quick 'Hello' - have tired unsuccessfully to ward off the nasty flu that's been going around but given that it's been the coldest winter for 30 years it was some what inevitable. So 2009 has started in a spate of sniffles and a mountain of soggy tissues - nice eh? We already have our first FO for the year. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). What kind of yarn are you? You are Mohair. You are a warm and fuz...

KnitterRooney: Friday Fabrications
http://knitterrooney.blogspot.com/2008/09/friday-fabrications.html
A Yunkie (Yarn Junkie) comes clean. Friday, September 26, 2008. I stumbled upon this book. Whilst surfing through blogsphere and bought it specifically to make the alphabet sorter - it's for a dear friend's little boy who is turning 3. She and I were housemates at university and I have been meaning to make him something for quite some time. (He has inspired the start of many projects but none of which have actually reached completion - oops! I tried different types of edgings to give it some variety.

KnitterRooney: April 2008
http://knitterrooney.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
A Yunkie (Yarn Junkie) comes clean. Tuesday, April 29, 2008. Lucy in the ply with diamonds. The dreadful pun is in honor of Ginger Lucy's. Birthday. who was born in the 80's. Nuff said! I presented her with 50g of the Brown Falkland I spun and plied last week but also soaked it in some orange and ginger scented shower gel for maximum sniffing pleasure. 100g of Blue-Faced Leicester was spun up in a week. Similarly mind-blowing, was the Norwegian Continental purl stitch class at Iknit. A better student spi...

KnitterRooney: Where every street ends with a mountain
http://knitterrooney.blogspot.com/2008/03/where-every-street-ends-with-mountain.html
A Yunkie (Yarn Junkie) comes clean. Monday, March 17, 2008. Where every street ends with a mountain. I'm not entirely sure where this phrase stems from but it's a pretty fitting description for Grenoble also called the 'Capital of the Alps'. Here are some shots taken from our hotel window. Whilst strolling through the city, I'd look up and see a majestic mountain presiding in the horizon promising much goodness and lifting my spirits. After that, we had a day of rain then 2 further days of sunshine. ...

KnitterRooney: Goodness Cables Me...
http://knitterrooney.blogspot.com/2007/02/goodness-cables-me.html
A Yunkie (Yarn Junkie) comes clean. Friday, February 23, 2007. Have been struck by the cable virus - my thoughts have been twisting and spiraling around a pair of grey fingerless gloves. I'm knitting. Started on my first cable with some trepidation at this Wednesday's K's and P's and it is so addictive! Funny how my 2 favourite things this week both start with C - there's also the double whammy of the Chocolate Cake we had at Wood's birthday on Saturday - yum, yum! My cabley ambition clearly knows no bou...

KnitterRooney: March 2008
http://knitterrooney.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
A Yunkie (Yarn Junkie) comes clean. Sunday, March 23, 2008. Could not think of anything vaguely witty for the title of this post because I am completely astounded, amazed and semi-speechless that it is snowing! As promised in my previous post - here's my knitting update. I managed to finish 2 hats - my first Woolly Wormhead Ribba hat. I also made significant progress on Courtenay. According to my blog archives, I started this last May. Monday, March 17, 2008. Where every street ends with a mountain.
