The Carlson Chronicles: Dancing Queen
http://jkcarlsonfamily.blogspot.com/2013/06/dancing-queen.html
Sunday, June 9, 2013. Ella really enjoyed her first year of dance. It was so fun to watch her really come out of her shell and to gain confidence throughout the year. Ella and her friend hugging as part of their dance routine. Just before their tap routine started. The finale with ALL the dancers (the stage was full, as well as the front row and all of the side aisles! Our little 'dancing queen'. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Carlson Chronicles: No More Tears?
http://jkcarlsonfamily.blogspot.com/2012/09/no-more-tears.html
Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Ella started preschool on Monday. She is in a ReadyK program this year, and will go to school 3 mornings a week. Ella is my spirited child at home. I really had no idea that her first year would include tears and clinging to my leg. I figured she would be a social butterfly. Lesson learned. Well, we did it the first day, anyway. I am hoping her attitude will remain the same the rest of the school year! My baby's last year of preschool! Still smiling by her cubby! Him, Her, Us.

The Carlson Chronicles: Cinnamon Quinoa Breakfast
http://jkcarlsonfamily.blogspot.com/2012/08/cinnamon-quinoa-breakfast.html
Tuesday, August 14, 2012. I first found this recipe here. When I was browsing on Pinterest one day. Do you like Pinterest? It's addicting at first, SO many good ideas, but I have made a rule for myself that I MUST try one thing that I pin for every 10 pins. It is working, so far! Well, sort of. ;). It is rainy this morning, and a little cooler than it has been all summer. I had some peaches to use up before they got too mushy, so I decided to substitute them into this recipe, and it was DELISH!

Friday, June 15, 2012. Last Day of Kindergarten! Man, that seemed like a long time. Ryan had a great year in Kindergarten. His teacher was fabulous, and was just the right fit for him. She was gentle and encouraging, and yet stern when she needed to be. Here is Ryan today, on his last day of Kindergarten. I look forward to spending time with you this summer, and pray that the clock will slow down just a bit in the next couple of months! For soon, you will be off to First Grade! Tuesday, June 5, 2012.

The Carlson Chronicles: December 2011
http://jkcarlsonfamily.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 28, 2011. I got quite the surprise this Christmas! My sneaky husband planned an executed a surprise visit from my Mom! She came to visit us in November, but we had kind of accepted the fact that we would not be seeing each other at Christmas time. James' vacation was such that he was off the week *before* Ryan's school vacation, and there would be no time for us to travel to Maine and back before James had to go back to work tonight. It was the best gift of all to be together. Ryan ha...

The Carlson Chronicles: Sigh
http://jkcarlsonfamily.blogspot.com/2012/09/sigh.html
Tuesday, September 4, 2012. This about sums up my feelings right now. Today was the last day of summer vacation. Ryan starts first grade tomorrow, and though Ella doesn't start back to preschool until Sept. 10th, our days of lazy mornings and 'do whatever we want in the afternoons' are behind us for another year. While we look ahead to apple picking, and pumpkin carving, I will be excited about those things, too. However, tonight.tonight, I will just sigh. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Him, Her, Us.

Tuesday, September 11, 2012. First Day of First Grade. Ryan started first grade this year. He has had nothing but good things to report, so far, and claims to love it! The last line of Ryan's sign says that he wants to. Be a baseball player when he grows up. What do you mean there is homework in. He's growing up TOO fast! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
