Monday, January 31, 2011. Review #210: Big Black - Bulldozer 12" (1983). Touch and Go Records. 3 I'm a Mess. Stinging bass riff and fast-ish beat. In the chorus, the guitars cut in and they sound pretty massive. almost ambient. It's a nice sound, there. By the third verse, there's some lead guitar in the mix as well. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Review #227: Deep Wound - American Style E.P. (1982). Really fast, great guitar riffs! It's about being driven to confusion by pressures and social anxiety in life. Awesome! This one's a little slower. More Ramones-like. The vocals are really screechy due to the production. It's like the THEME SONG (not a cover of Clown Alley, by the way), DUDE! Really fast. This song later appeared on "Deep Wound". At the end there's a scream. 5 Your Head is In Your Crotch. 8 Never Let You In.
