The low quality blog. Easter - part VII. Last post about Easter 2012 on Svalbard. The weather had been cold and clear all Easter, and this last night was no exception. Instead of spending another night in the icecave. We ended up snuggly sleeping nine people in an igloo set up by Spitsbergen Travel on Tellbreen. They didn't need it. It strictly said on a plaque outside the igloo do not enter, Spitsbergen Travel uses this as a lunch stop during day trips. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The low quality blog. Oh for fucks sake, it's almost a month since my last post. Not good, not good. So in the spirit of being late, here's pics from a cabin trip I tagged along on some weeks ago. Gorgeous weather, very little snow, one little ski trip where I skinned up and walked down. Evenings spent swing dancing and keeping the fires going. Ended up with 35 degrees celcius inside while the outside kept a snug -20 degrees. And a stunning northern light popped up the second evening! Robert F. Scott.

The low quality blog. Easter - part III. It's the middle of the night, the sun is shining just outside my window here in Longyearbyen on Svalbard, and apparently theres a solar eclipse going on at this very moment, but only 9 percent or so is being eclipsed so I can't really be bothered to stick my head out the window to have a look. So, easter, part III. Well, hum, so, we stopped by Paulabreen (Paula glacier) on our way to the east coast, or rather, we stopped on the sea ice in front of the glacier.

Søndag 21. august 2011. Pjokken har blitt stor. I dag var vi vitne til at pus har blitt en ordentlig voksen hannkatt. Han fanget sin første fugl. Og ikke bare lekte han med den, han spiste den også. Hverdagskos, trening, mat og baby. Kom i form →. Mat må man ha. I dag har jeg lagd hjemmelaget babymat for første gang. Dagens meny består av gulrotmos. Enkelt å lage, enkelt å like. 1 Kok gulrøttene helt myke. 2 Kjør dem i stavmikser. Server eller frys ned i porsjonspakker. Lillegutt foretrekker mosen så glatt som mulig, så jeg tilsatte litt morsmelk for å gjøre den litt mindre fast. Suksess. Torsdag 16. februar 2012. I forrige uke gikk jeg til innkjøp av mitt første designerplagg. Nærmere bestemt kjole D30 av Ingrid Riddervold Design. Som fikk navnet Kristinkjolen. Oppkalt etter meg, hvis det skulle være noe tvil ;). Jeg er superfornøyd med kjolen, og i morgen skal jeg ha den på meg på jobb for å få riktig fredagsstemning. Lørdag 25. februar 2012. Først når avisene melder at våren er på vei har jeg fått karret meg ordentlig i gang med vinterens skisesong. Startet med en tur på onsdag etter jobb i lysløypa fra Kyvannet. Først da jeg nærmet meg parkeringsplassen igjen traff jeg på barnefamiliene som hadde begynt å komme seg ut. Da hadde jeg kun igjen 200 meter av løypa. Perfekt timing! Torsdag 16. februar 2012.
