Day one. Hi from Bangalore, the fifth fast growing city in the world. The traffic is something else, cars lorries buses auto-rickshaws motor. Bikes pedal bikes steet vendors some going against the traffic tooting. And hooting merrily lots of noise, smells and atmosphere! Cows feeding on grass in the middle of streets, the side walks, I'm. Getting American, pavements appaling, holes and rubble etc. really. Have to watch your step, plenty of scope for broken legs! Trees, blossom and flowers.

Many,many people, somehow organized chaos. We had the usual local breakfast, dosa masala, and was I glad that Rob had shown me how to eat using the dosa (pancake), no cutlery, and very sweet milky coffee! 1030am. we arrived at the city, and went straight on to the Charamundi Hills to get great views over Mysore, see the ubiquitous Temple, which was large and impressive,and walk down 1000 steps, where we failed to meet our driver, so took a rickshaw to our hotel.
