Saturday, October 29, 2011. This fish bowl is stagnant and filled with algae. The fish needs a change! Swimming over to a new space to throw my thought pebbles. Posted by Mary at 11:36 PM. Sunday, October 02, 2011. Shadow of the Almighty. Photograph by Geordie Wood. The past 3 months at Tung Ling Bible School has been life changing. I don't know where to begin. I don't even know if there'll be an end. Because I think the transformation is a continual process. How do I even capture it into words? Posted b...

To fermentation and beyond! Saturday, January 15, 2011. Molasses Whole Wheat with Hazelnuts and Raisins. For the last few weeks I've been fooling around with a soft, dense whole wheat bread flavored with seeds, nuts or fruit. The first, English brown bread, was salty and satisfying; the second, a part whole wheat loaf studded with sunflower seeds was nice but heavy; but the third batch, flavored with blackstrap molasses, hazelnuts and raisins is currently the winner. 3 Cups white flour. 2 C warm water.

The title might be misleading. It's not the greatest picture of me, but that matters very little right now. Dad's health is declining, and I just wanted to reflect on the happy times that I've had with him. I do love him for all his odd-ball ways and his ridiculous humor. I love him for so many other things too that I can't just summerize it in a few words. Instead I'm leaving it just like this. One cup of pudding turning your back for 2 min. = HOLY MESS! I'm washing my feet with all the soap, mommy!

That sort of comes with the territory. But this wedding felt especially holy as I watched all these wonderful people gather in front of God's ocean and witness Danielle and Ben make promises to one another and Him. These two are really lovely- I'm just so grateful I could be a part of their day. My cup runneth over.

December 15, 2012 · 9:38 am. I’m currently enjoying a lazy morning in Vancouver, hanging out with my dog and catching up on what I should be listening to with the help of Winnie Cooper. Last Saturday, however, I woke up in a forest, by the water. While in Sechelt last weekend I made a stop at Sew Easy. I’d been to the shop before but had managed to get myself out after only browsing. On this trip I did a bit of reconnaissance, and returned the next day for some purchases. Ground Control to Major Pom.
