David Bryan: April 2013
http://livethismystery.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Living the 127 Mystery. Thursday, April 25, 2013. I read this news story this week:. Ben Affleck is planning to live below the poverty line. The Hollywood actor and director has joined The Global Poverty Project's Live Below the Line. Campaign, which asks people to live on $1.50 a day to raise money for various charities. The campaign lasts from April 29 to May 5. That meager amount is the current equivalent of the World Bank's International Extreme Poverty Line. And this led me to a. Use a round table i...

David Bryan: February 2012
http://livethismystery.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Living the 127 Mystery. Thursday, February 23, 2012. I did something Monday that, I am embarrassed to say, I haven’t done in a while. I spent 30-40 minutes just reading scripture. Don’t misunderstand me. Most days I will read a chapter in the Bible (a psalm for example, or one chapter in one of Paul’s New Testament writings), or some verses (often a proverb or a parable of Jesus). But I have been neglecting the reading of big chunks, entire stories, whole books of the Bible in one sitting. We so often se...

Living the 127 Mystery. Thursday, May 24, 2012. Real firemen. But not Firehouse #4. I didn't bring my camera. I just got back from serving lunch to the men and women of the Roswell Fire department. Well, actually, I just got back from eating. I’m full. We all are. 8220;Thank you” again men and women of Roswell Firehouse #4 for a great lunch and for your faithful service to our community. Friday, May 11, 2012. I figure I made the short trip to Esther Jackson about twenty-five times. On twenty-five day...

Georgie's Musings: January 2014
http://georginevj.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 13, 2014. More than two years! And thought for the week. I can't believe how fast the last two years have passed. I am hoping to contribute to my blog again, in meaningful ways as well as mundane. Because there are so many facets of my life, I will go back and tag my posts so they are easily skimmed on the sidebar and easily accessed without scrolling. This month, I have written a short article on FEAR. Until next post, we wish you a fabulous 2014. What could you do if you had no fear?

David Bryan: September 2013
http://livethismystery.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Living the 127 Mystery. Friday, September 6, 2013. One Question and the BETTER Answer. Sometimes people will ask me, “What denomination is your church? What’s your affiliation? And I usually say some version of this:. We are a non-denominational or an interdenominational church. But I got to thinking the other day….That isn’t the most clear or accurate answer to the question of affiliation. Our affiliation is not really a label (or at least it shouldn’t be). Our affiliation is with the ushers at Turner F...

David Bryan: December 2013
http://livethismystery.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Living the 127 Mystery. Monday, December 2, 2013. For years I have enjoyed reading Thomas Cahill's "Hinges of History" books. I remember when I first read "How the Irish Saved Civilization" and "The Gifts of the Jews." They were worldview-changing books for me. And so this October I pre-ordered the first book I have ever pre-ordered in my life. It was Cahill's sixth book in the series, titled "Heretics And Heroes: How Renaissance Artists And Reformation Priests Created Our World.". I will summarize three:.

David Bryan: February 2013
http://livethismystery.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Living the 127 Mystery. Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Who do you follow on Twitter? I read recently in the USA Today, that NASCAR driver Danica Patrick has close to 700,000 followers. And that pales in comparison to the “most followed” person on Twitter. Justin Bieber has 33 million followers. So what does it mean to “follow” one of these people? And sometimes it means that you share their opinion with a friend of yours. I’ll be honest, I don’t follow anyone on Twitter. It means I watch the games when I can.

David Bryan: July 2012
http://livethismystery.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Living the 127 Mystery. Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Research tells us that we now spend almost half our waking hours online—laptops, desktops, TV, I-phones, I-pads, I-pods, and similar technology. The average adult is awake for 15 hours and 45 minutes every day and over 7 hours of that time is spent using the proliferation of technology. The average Xbox user is online for 84 hours a month! And often, because of this, we miss out on seeing, hearing, tasting, touching and connecting with the things of God.
