Theology & Backgammon: August 2011

Monday, August 29, 2011. Facebook Vs. The Holy Spirit: What/who do you turn to in descision making. During the past few months, I have had some interesting confrontations with a few people at my church. When they talked to me they all had an issue with my personal facebook profile. The first two people had an issue with a movie that I reviewed. Some of you know that I love to watch movies and use them constantly in my ministry. One movie I was reviewing had a movie title that had a curse word in it.

Theology & Backgammon: Where have we been? a reflection on a (almost) year Hiatus.

http://theologyandbackgammon.blogspot.com/2013/03/where-have-we-been-reflection-on-almost.html

Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Where have we been? A reflection on a (almost) year Hiatus. Greeting friends, as you may know our last article/podcast that has been posted is almost a year old. What the heck have Ryan and myself been doing the pass year. Were we traveling to the holy land? Took a time machine (Tardis, DeLorean, etc.) back to the begging of the bible to see the creation and other biblical events? Were we in hibernation? Where are we now? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Dawn of the dead.

Theology Amplified

Saturday, December 12, 2009. No More Theology Amplified. This will be my last post at TA. It has been a fun ride here, but it's time for a change. My new blog is called Coming Clean and you can access it by going to http:/ www.ryanphelps.net. That is also the RSS feed address. TA will stay up indefinitely if you want to access any old material (there's currently no way to import this blog into the other one). The new blog already has a few posts and a GREAT video! Posted by Ryan Phelps. Quotes of the Day.

Sola Dei Gloria

Tuesday, 3 August 2010. No, No, NOOO! So its been a while since my last blog (sorry). I saw this video the other night (thanks to Wretched Radio). When I was is Sunday school we learned verses, read bible stories and sung Jesus loves me this I know (which is no longer politically correct). Nowadays, some have decided that we must nuance songs so that the kids will sing them. I'm sure Jesus is most glorified and lifted up through the singing of songs that bring spewing to the forefront of your mind. Last ...

Theology And Beer

Christian Ideals In Everyday Life – Music. May 31, 2009. Disclaimer: please note that I do not think that Dave Roberts had Christianity on his mind when he wrote this song or when he sings it. I simply think it is a very cool song that talks about some very cool ideals. Now, if you want to listen to the song, you can listen to it on Youtube at this link. And if you like it, feel free to buy the CD somewhere online to support Crash Test Dummies. Here are the lyrics from the song that I really liked:.

Theology and Church | Scripture, Theology & the Obedience of Faith

Scripture, Theology and the Obedience of Faith. Kevin Vanhoozer Sings Sola. August 14, 2015. When in Sydney last week I took the opportunity to head out for the first of this year’s Annual Moore College Lecture. To hear Kevin Vanhoozer address the theme, Mere Protestant Christianity: How Singing. The lecture began with a question: Should the church repent of or retrieve the Reformation? Which means in a non-biological context. Having a tendency to divide into groups or factions. But, has the Reformation ...
