Growing up we played in the yard, the woods, the tall grass in the fields, and at the edge of the woods all day, and I never had one tick, ever. Now it seems just going into the front yard of anyone's house requires a full body scan to detect those nasty buggers! Thursday, July 14, 2011. I jumped my first fence ever last night. It was quite thrilling! It was just a little cross rail, but it was my first time. I was a bit apprehensive about jumping, but my instructor did an excellent job of preparing us in ground work, so that when the time came it was easy breezy over the first rails.
