Many moons ago, Chris, Paul and Chis were born in Sheffield. For decades they made a tremendous din playing rock music in bands such as Haze, World Turtle. Three-Legged Cat, Strongheart, Treebeard. As well as ceilidhs, the Outlandish Knights can be booked to play concerts, or can perform music for listening during ceilidh intervals. We have a huge repertoire of songs and tunes, including original, traditional, rock and pop. We are happy to play weddings, birthday parties, clubs and socials as well as festivals and concerts. Treebeard were formed by Haze. Brothers Chris and Paul McMahon plus Paul Chisnell ( Haze. Three Legged Cat, Old Pekuliar), Gordon Walker (Ant Hill Mob and guest on World Turtle's 'Wilderness of Eden') and Chris Jellis (Old Pekuliar). Originally called Acoustic Haze, the band changed their name to Treebeard, after the character in Lord of the Rings, to avoid confusion with Haze. The band describe their style as 'Heavy Wood', a concept stolen from the Nottingham 80's duo Twice Bitten, who supported Haze.
