The Second Half: October 2010
http://ctb-flipside.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 27, 2010. My Wednesday ‘master of the obvious’ comment pertains to politics. These elections really bring out the worst in people. I was listening to NPR reports on various elections across the country, and only found one story to be remotely interesting – the California Governor’s race. Jesus H Christ, how the hell is Jerry Brown still in the political game? I mean, he’s your Dad. Even if this guy. Thursday, October 21, 2010. Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Got me a season pass today....

The Second Half: Mall Cop
http://ctb-flipside.blogspot.com/2010/12/mall-cop.html
Tuesday, December 14, 2010. So after a long day on Saturday that included a great bike ride in the Catalina Mountains with several teammates, and 6 hours of non-stop playtime with two rugrats, I was done. We clicked the TBS version of “Point Break” off, and I don’t even remember falling asleep. That’s some crystal clear thinking. Another relaxing weekend in Tucson. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Second Half: Points
http://ctb-flipside.blogspot.com/2011/01/points.html
Sunday, January 2, 2011. I drive fairly aimlessly into town and see the lone Conoco gas station on the right. They have 24oz cans of Tecate for 1.99. Yeah, buddy. I bring one of those tallboys to the counter and the young cashier says "Do you have your points card with you". Points card for a gas station? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tuesday, November 24, 2009. At the start of this year I set out to 'be relentless in the pursuit of what I've not done before'. often I've had to remind myself, but I'm sure of the path that I am on. The Second Half: January 2011
http://ctb-flipside.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 2, 2011. Let's keep the Christ in Christmas" That was one of the more comical bumper stickers I saw over the holidays. "My body is a temple 5 days a week, but it's an amusement park on the weekends" drew a smile. Then there was "Fuck you, you fuckin' fuck". Awesome. The break went a bit different than planned. Me thought I would ride quite a bit, but it got cold and snowy out - thus 5 runs in 6 days. I know, what the hell, right? Shaaa, right. Statue in my name at town square? Conoco, Hil...

The Second Half: March 2010
http://ctb-flipside.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Back on the dirt. Total ballbuster day at work yesterday, putting out fires, and meeting with the big wigs. Fortunately, there is some really cool stuff that may come out of it all – but that’s work, time to let it go. 4 days, 8 hours of saddle time. Nice. I opened a copy of Sports Illustrated yesterday, and for the second week in a row, there’s a huge section in the middle of the magazine about Golf. Golf? What the hell is Golf doing in a national magazine about sports? I thin...

The Second Half: June 2010

Friday, June 25, 2010. Where is it written that you turn 18, go to college, get a real job, get married, buy a house, have kids, then work until you retire and live happily ever after? It’s not; it’s just what nearly everybody does. Let me tell ya, I am sick of taking care of my house right now, and I can’t imagine placing all of my chips on a bet that I’ll be healthy when I retire. I’d rather place a bet on having a good time today. Time for some vaca. D will miss me too, but not that much because she j...
