Another Round of Drinks! Friday, February 20, 2015. Well, make that our "snow week"! We ended up being out of school all week for the snowstorm that started on Monday night. King George ended up with 7-8 inches total, which means that buses can't run and kids can't wait at bus stops (when it's a balmy -2 degrees in the morning! We pushed Emily and Jason down on their snow discs, which the kids loved. These mittens are hard to manage! My mittens are wet and my hands are cold! My guys- Jay outlasted us all!

Another Round of Drinks! Monday, July 27, 2015. H" is for Hernia! Well, what can I say? My stone never grows moss! Didn't take much to figure out that this was a hernia (both Carrie and Timmy had ones repaired when they were little). We got delayed until 8:45 AM but surgery only took an hour. Emily did great with the "going to sleep" part (they make the gas smell like bubble gum) and woke up in recovery with a puzzled look like "how did I get here? On the wagon ride to the operating room! Another Round of Drinks! Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Kickin' the Kitchen's Butt. Tim went to visit the granite yard on a rare day off, and he picked out this beautiful steel gray. We matched up some mosaic tile backsplash, which consisted of gray glass, frosted glass, marble, and quartz pieces. Another Round of Drinks! Saturday, August 30, 2014. But what to do with a harvest gold cast iron tub? And the finish is guaranteed for years as long as don't clean it with abrasive cleaners. We're almost done with this bathroom and then it will be break time around the Drinks' household! New toilet is going in tomorrow and the sink will be reconnected after that. Another Round of Drinks! Thursday, March 26, 2015. Piedmont Regional Science Fair 2015. Nik, Ellie, and James- all pumped up for the big win! Yes, the fair was on March 17th but we're super busy at school (and home) and I'm just now getting the pics off my camera! My teacher friend Tracy and I took 20 finalists to the Piedmont Regional Science Fair at UVA that Tuesday and the students did great! They always make King George look so good! Another Round of Drinks! Thursday, April 9, 2015. Shark Tank, but without Mr. Wonderful. On Tuesday, we visited the VA Marine Science Aquarium. We got there early (before the day care field trips and homeschool groups) and had a great time! But you couldn't tell how badly he felt at the aquarium- he was just so happy to see all of the animals! Can you tell by the blank stare and pink cheeks that Jason was on the way down? He had a great attitude for a little boy that felt so crappy! The kids had a ball!
