Dirt & Worms Pie – eat, with love
https://eatwithloveblogdotcom.wordpress.com/2015/07/16/dirt-worms-pie
Eat, with love. Food created with love, for those you love. Dirt and Worms Pie. Drum roll please… here it is! My favorite pie of all time. Dirt and Worms has been a staple on our Thanksgiving table for as long as I can remember. Now I know that this isn’t a dish that you would typically see on the Turkey Day menu, but it’s such a fun (and tasty) treat! There is one MAJOR. So, without further adieu, let’s get cookin. Dirt and Worms Pie. 1 Cookie Pie Crust. 1 large box of instant chocolate pudding. Yeah, t...

Ensalada con Vinagre Blanco – eat, with love

Eat, with love. Food created with love, for those you love. Ensalada con Vinagre Blanco. Grandma Mona had the most beautiful smile. When I think of my grandma, I remember her singing along to her favorite songs, preparing meals for seven of us that would feed at least seventeen people, and keeping my cousins and I busy with lots of arts and crafts. This used to drive me crazy. How would I ever learn to make her tomato sauce? What is the secret to her sausage biscuits and gravy? Ensalada con Vinagre Blanco.

Cookie Pie Crust – eat, with love
https://eatwithloveblogdotcom.wordpress.com/2015/07/16/cookie-pie-crust/comment-page-1
Eat, with love. Food created with love, for those you love. This crust is so easy it almost isn’t fair. Why waste time and money going to the store for a pre-made crust when you can whip one up in the comfort of your home while rocking those fabulous flannels jammies with the cute little kitty cats on them. Oh, not everyone does that? That’s just me? Let’s get cookin’. 1/4 cup of good ol’ fashioned salted butter, melted. Refrigerate the crust for at least one hour to prevent crumbling. July 16, 2015.

Macaroni & Cheese – eat, with love
https://eatwithloveblogdotcom.wordpress.com/2015/08/03/macaroni-cheese
Eat, with love. Food created with love, for those you love. I pride myself on being an adventurous eater. Never one to back away from a new food experience (hello 14-year-old self, conquering Kate’s dare to eat an entire family sized box of Lucky Charms), I enjoy trying new and exciting things. My soul sister Kate and I, perhaps second grade. A year and a half ago on a trip to New Orleans, I dove head first into a plate of blood sausage. 1/4 cup unsalted butter. 1 shallot (or 1/4 of a white onion). Add s...

July 2015 – eat, with love
https://eatwithloveblogdotcom.wordpress.com/2015/07
Eat, with love. Food created with love, for those you love. Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Salad. What is with all these salads lately? I’ve always prided myself on being a carnivore. Maybe it’s because it’s summer, and cooking over a hot stove just seems like a terrible idea, or perhaps it’s because I’m trying to eat better. Or maybe it’s both! 3 medium or 4 large beets (I used red beets, but you could certainly turn this dish up with something fancier). Olive oil, extra virgin. 1/4 cup olive oil. Put the...

My Story – eat, with love
https://eatwithloveblogdotcom.wordpress.com/my-story-2
Eat, with love. Food created with love, for those you love. My story begins in a little town called Frankfort, located on Lake Michigan in the “upper” lower penninsula. The oldest of three, my parents taught me to be independent, and driven to help others. Both my parents were self-starters, and together ran their own small business until 2006. Many memories I have of my mom involved standing on a chair in the kitchen helping her with a batch of her famous Trash Can Cookies. After that summer I took on j...
