Tuesday, November 11, 2008. My father-in-law was also a veteran. In fact he was shot in the war and received a purple heart. I used to love to listen to his stories of the times that he spent in the Philippines. As I drove into work today, I listened to "Rick and Bubba. And they were honoring Veterans, several Veterans called into the show and told their stories and they really touched my heart. Friday, March 23, 2012. I think Kaitlyn has been going through a growth spurt lately. She never takes a nap anymore, but instead has quiet time where she stays in her room and plays. Lately though, she has been falling asleep in the afternoon in the most unusual (and cute) places! On the floor in my bedroom, curled up with her "Pink Bear.". Sunday, February 8, 2009. Spring came a little early. We had some beautiful weather here this weekend. Spring must have come a little early because the temperature was in the mid to upper 60's, and the sun was shining so brightly. It was the perfect day to get outside and play! Kaitlyn loved sliding down the slide. Once she got to the bottom, she would turn around to climb right back up! She loved the slide, but she wasn't too sure about the steps. She smiled and giggled the whole time!
