Sunday, September 30, 2012. New Adventures and a Hint of Fall. As you have probably noticed in the past, we always tend to visit my parents during the colder months. Which is completely strange considering I'm not a big fan of cold weather! Did you hear that winter I don't mind if you hibernate this year and allow Fall and Spring to shine for a little bit longer. Pumpkins, costumes, and so much more on my mind lately. i have been having fun decorating my new mantel. As well as the island centerpiece. And my entryway table. I also made a fun new ghost garland. And can't forget about this year's chalkboard art. We had a blast taking family selfies at the local pumpkin patch. this year we decided to go at night and now i am hooked. no heat, not too crowded, oh, and don't forget your selfie pole. The old no. 40. Someone turned 40 this past week. of course we had to celebrate in a big way. and this guy has a lot of friends, cuz who doesn't love jason. a birthday bash it was! Once i found a theme to use it was pretty easy; jack daniels is such a classic. i only stressed about the number of people invited, over 50. but everyone fit and it seemed that they all had a great time. i love how the invitations turned out. Of course we had some entertainment. Here are the families(with a friend mixed in).

Thought i would show a cute comparison of these 2. Same age, same grade, same field trip.}. Side note, i was sick that day thinking it was just a cold and sore throat. came to find out later i had tonsilitis and slight bronchitis. now i know i can do better next time. haha! My partner. we called ourselves "salt and pepa". And our shirts read "pushit. push it real good."}. Completely nervous, about to pee my pants.}. First competition of the day had us doing. It was the best month. Dying eggs (weekend before easter this year):. I fooled my kids and my students by telling them i baked them some brown 'eeee's. maddie turned around and took some to school to fool her friends. and my students all asked me to do more tricks. fun day! Kitchen remodel {happy, happy, joy, joy}. Demo day. goodbye cabinets, countertops, appliances, island. Soffit ceiling, trash cans. Soffit ceiling gets new drywall. yahoo! I really disliked how that ceiling was chopped into 2 squares and how it made the kitchen seem small. New texture throughout the entire kitchen/living room.
