It’s a tricky one on the one hand I am reticent to let myself off the hook. I think that our boys c...

Evening Routine: Parenting Project Update | The Scientific Parent

A record of how academic psychology influences (or not) my family life. Skip to primary content. Evening Routine: Parenting Project Update. June 22, 2015. This month I’ve been working on my evening routine. Some success, some failure. The good news is that I’m reading actual books! My habits for this month are focussed on my evening routine. 7:45 — finish putting Harry to bed; scroll through Facebook. 9:30 — clear up kitchen. 10:00 — brush teeth, go to bed, scroll through Facebook, listen to a podcast as I fall asleep around 10:30.

A record of how academic psychology influences (or not) my family life. Skip to primary content. On my white board…. June 4, 2015. This is resonating with me for two reasons. First, I love my sheltered life — I love routine, and I have very little desire for travel. Yet I am not proud of this, and can get rather defensive about it. Second, I’m reading (yes! Actually reading rather than listening! Brene Brown’s book, Daring Greatly. Comments are back on! Follow this blog to get more. You must be logged in.
