Rachel and Travis: July 2014
http://rachandtrav.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 18, 2014. Our little buggy turned 5 back in July! I don't think there has ever been a 4 year old boy who was more excited to turn 5 than Phoenix! He of course wanted Little Caesars Pizza for dinner! And he also requested a water balloon fight. Done and done! My finger tips hurt just looking at this picture! Phoenix is always ready and willing to show off his muscles. The water balloons (the ones that I spent an hour filling up) were used up in about 5 minutes, so out came the hose! When he g...

Rachel and Travis: June 2014
http://rachandtrav.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 24, 2014. This girl and her stuffed animals. Seriously, could she be any cuter? Audrey really has a special bond with her beloved stuffed animals. She has 3 generously sized storage bins full of animals (not to mention the ones on and under her bed) and she loves EVERY single one of them! I thought it was adorable that she wanted to take Bear (in her top 2 favorite animals) for a bike ride. Audrey did a great job on her presentation! Shirley Temple is one of the few child actors who did not...

Rachel and Travis: Mother's Day
http://rachandtrav.blogspot.com/2015/05/mothers-day.html
Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Aside from waking up to an alarm clock (curse you 9 am church! Mother's Day was pleasant and enjoyable. Travis let me pick out a new lens that I have been wanting for a few years, and I tested it out while dinner was cooking. Travis made me Gado-Gado (an Indonesian dish from my Dad's mission). He made the peanut sauce, the marinade for the chicken, and then he grilled the chicken. Am I the only one that thinks food tastes better when you don't have to prepare it yourself? Andrew an...

Rachel and Travis: March 2015
http://rachandtrav.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 9, 2015. Phoenix was SO excited to be back on the field playing soccer. He always tries to be the fastest kid on his team (and he usually is), and he has made several goals in practice. He was way more distracted on game day, I blame it on the sideline fun. His teammates that weren't on the field playing were hiding under a blanket.it was COLD! The girls only had two practices before their first game, but you would never know it! I am so glad that I saw it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Fast ...

Rachel and Travis: April 2014
http://rachandtrav.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 3, 2014. We always like to do appetizers for NYE dinner, so this year with Leah, we had a delicious menu. She made pigs in a blanket (I think those were the most popular thing! For dessert we used the chocolate fountain that Travis got me for Christmas. It was soooooo goood! It was so fun having Leah with us for the holidays. I feel like it made everything so much more special and fun for us. Thanks for coming Leah! We actually go to see the Lions eating! It was pretty cool! We had a ton ...

Rachel and Travis: November 2014
http://rachandtrav.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 2, 2014. I told everyone this year that if they wore the Mary Poppins costumes to the two parties that we went to, they could choose what to be on Halloween (I know, so generous of me, right? And she was SO happy with how it came out! When I did Phoenix's makeup, I wouldn't let him peek until it was done. It was his idea to have the blood coming out of is eye. When he looked in the mirror he didn't say anything, so I asked him if he liked it. He said, "I LOVE it! I threw together my old ...

Rachel and Travis: April 2015
http://rachandtrav.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 23, 2015. The Rest of the Trip. We ended our beach trip with.you guessed it.another trip to the beach. We keep life jackets on the kids whenever we are at the ocean. While we still watch them like hawks, it is an extra safety precaution that helps us relax a little bit more. I am pretty sure that he would have gotten in if he was allowed to. Every good beach trip ends with a nap for Phoenix on the ride home. I am glad he still does this! The Nina and the Pinta. The ships were tiny! I was ...

Rachel and Travis: May 2014
http://rachandtrav.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 23, 2014. Audrey's school does a Memorial Day event every year, and it is a great way to remember and honor those who served, and those we lost. Last year was great, and this year was even better. The graduates came out and sang a few songs for us. Phoenix had been practicing them for a few weeks at home. This is him telling his teacher that he was "the best singer ever" (seriously). Then we got to watch a slideshow of pictures taken thoughout the year, set to sweet songs while our little...

Rachel and Travis: May 2015
http://rachandtrav.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 19, 2015. I signed Audrey up for a homeschool drama group in February. The play for this session was Willy Wonka (one of my favorite childhood movies). Audrey's dream role was an Oompa Loompa. She got the part she wanted, plus she had a line as a reporter, and she was a Candy Kid. She loved it! She had a best bud, Tanner, they were so glad to have each other. Poor little bud, he wanted to be an Oompa Loompa SO bad! Aside from waking up to an alarm clock (curse you 9 am church! Travis made me...
