Look mom, no training wheels! Nathan told us last Sunday he was ready to take his training wheels off. We asked him if he was sure, he said yes. He did great! We both stood on each side of him and helped at first, but then he got to going and we let go, and he just kept going! We were so proud of him! Last Thursday night we went to the local fair with some friends of ours for a fun night out that included hand squeezed lemonade, dizzy dragons, and lots of squeals! Nathan rode his first little roller coaster and his first Ferris wheel. He loved all of it, including the swings that went pretty high and fast! The local paper only advertised the fair would be happening on Friday, Sat., and Sun. But at the last minute the fair officials decided to open up a couple of nights early.just for us!

Nathan's valentine's party at his Preschool was delayed due to our snow day, and then winter break followed the snow day. They got to have their valentine's party when they went back to school. And much to Nathan's surprise, his teacher brought a gerbil to class. He was so excited to watch the gerbil! He of course asked for one, and I of course.said no! Where, oh where, does the time go? It's a new year, and a new month! In fact, it's the second month of this new year and I haven't even blogged once in this new year. So many things are going on around here and I'm sad that I haven't even sat down to write about them. I haven't even been good at keeping up with my calendar this year! Nathan had his first speaking part as the innkeeper in his preschools Christmas program. He did great! Oh how I cannot believe he will be starting kindergarten in the fall!

Fall is my favorite time of year! We get outside more, play more, bake more, watch lots of football, and have lots of pumpkin spice lattes! We've had fun going to our favorite Pumpkin Patch, farms, apple orchard, Amicalola Falls, attending fall festivals, and just enjoying the outdoors and the beautiful colors. Never in a million years. Did I think I would attend a Monster Truck Show! But, Nathan saw it on television one night and said he wanted to go to a Monster Jam. Nathan's friend, Blake, loves it too. So Blake's mom, Holly, and I decided we would take the boys (since the dads were busy) to the Monster Jam! I discovered it was a lot of fun! Grave Digger" was Nathan's favorite. We even brought home a "Grave Digger" hot wheels truck! Well, it was only a dusting.but fun anyway! Our first Gingerbread house!
