First of all, whoever searched “vegans are lonely” and found my blog, I would like to give you a hug. Anyway, the #dittering is over! Not pictured: the Hot Lips soda I bought and then left at the cart. On Friday I nannied all day but I ate some quinoa corn salad with cumin dressing from New Seasons, which totally counts. I probably...

flavorvegan: Tempeh Turnovers: the leftovers are perfect for lunch!
http://flavorvegan.blogspot.com/2013/03/tempeh-turnovers-leftovers-are-perfect.html
Friday, March 1, 2013. Tempeh Turnovers: the leftovers are perfect for lunch! This is one of my favorite recipes! I love it since the turnovers taste so good right out of the oven, but also makes the best lunch (and easy to transport too). I feel that tempeh is often cooked wrong and so people think it tastes bad (kinda like tofu). This recipe allows the tempeh to get great flavor through baking. The best tempeh I've ever had is from Dovetail Bakery. 12 oz Tempeh, chopped. 1 large Zucchini, chopped.

Roy was euthanized a little over a week ago. It was the single most difficult decision in my life. He was not the classic case of not eating, immobile, or hiding. The day it happened he asked to go outside and enjoyed the sun, tried to spray on some bushes, and thought about sneaking in an open window. He was doing great for a really long time! About ...

Saturday, December 22, 2012. Part 2: My cat used to nap in a tree! I have never met a cat with so much personality and problems as Roy. He almost died the first month I adopted him from a humane society at about 3 years old. He was lethargic and looking pathetic, so I took him to the vet. Turns out he had a urinary tract infection and another day without treatment would have killed him. It was becoming a chronic problem, but then I realized his special diet due to allergies was actually causing it. Loki ...
