SHORT STONE CARVING COURSES. The short courses are a more intensive introduction into the skills of stone carving. Over two or three days, students design and make a stone sculpture. Everyone works hard with great results, it is incredible what students manage to produce in such a short time. There is a maximum of 8 places on all the courses, and they fill up quickly. Book early to avoid disappointment. Please phone or email to check availability. For all courses please bring packed lunch and stout shoes.

Exhibition at Glastonbury Abbey. 7th June - 27th September 2014. Kate Semple along with calligrapher John Rowlands Pritchard have produced work inspired by this wonderful venue especially for the exhibition. John has referred to the manuscripts of St. Dunstan for his painted canvasses, while Kate has used the Romanesque detailing of the Abbey for her abstract sculptures in Portland stone. Kate is running a two day stone carving workshop at the Abbey on the 26th and 27th of July. Check out their website.
