I'm not sure if I've ever explicitly written that San Francisco is my favorite U.S. city, but it is. Each district is unique, there's something for everyone to enjoy, and of course the city itself is beautiful. But my favorite thing I did while living in the city by the bay was train for and compete in an open water swim from Alcatraz to Aquatic Park in September of 2013. Wet suit rash.ouch.
