kurrabi kid: December 2011
http://kurrabikid.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 9, 2011. Don't you love some of the things kids come out with while you're driving? I want to remember this one:. Scene: way home from school. E: "Mum, did you know some kids don't believe in Santa? E: "Yeah, they don't think he's real . is Santa real, Mum? E: "The kids who don't think Santa's real, when they wake up and see their presents, they know that God brought them.". Me: "Mmmm-hmmm" [stifling giggle]. I love how this little guy thinks! Friday, December 09, 2011. The kids had a ba...

kurrabi kid: September 2012
http://kurrabikid.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 11, 2012. So, this delightful little lady turned THREE at the start of this month. And I must say, I will miss her 'two-ness'. She wasn't a tricky two-year-old at all. Perhaps she's saving that up for her year of being three? I wish I had the headspace or inclination to write a long, loving post about her gorgeousness. But I don't right now. Another day. Maybe? Happy 3rd birthday T! Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). WINTER 2016 JULY. I'VE DONE IT.

kurrabi kid: January 2012

Friday, January 27, 2012. Where are the words? Certainly not here, on this poor, cobwebbed blog. And they're not in my diary either - I think the last time pen touched paper on those pages was new year's eve (and I don't think I even finished that entry). The words are also missing from, er, Word. Yes, those plans I had for writing a short story have come to very little indeed. You know what is frustrating? The words, they are all in my head! Anyway. I will get there. (Sigh). Meanwhile, E is killing me s...

kurrabi kid: February 2013
http://kurrabikid.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 12, 2013. So, it's happened. We've cruised passed February 9 and that makes me . FORTY! I've been doing a bit of navel gazing in the lead-up to The Big Day - doesn't everyone? And a bit of wrestling with the idea of entering a new decade. I can't think of one. Hard work at times, for sure, but I have to pinch myself when I think of how much more enriched my life is now than it was when I turned 30. Goodbye the Golden Years of the 30s (sniff) - you were AWESOME. They are the most beautif...

kurrabi kid: Last year - July to December
http://kurrabikid.blogspot.com/2013/01/last-year-july-to-december.html
Saturday, January 19, 2013. Last year - July to December. OK, where was I in my dodgy 'the year in captions' recap? My biggest turned seven. My littlest decided she needed piggytails. TT takes a ferry. Backyard soccer was played. Thea turned 3. Here she is doing one of her favourite things: collecting rocks. We took the kids camping, which was all fun and games until someone - not mentioning any names - cried all night because he hated being constricted in his sleeping bag! In the Snowy Mountains. And I ...

kurrabi kid: June 2012
http://kurrabikid.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 24, 2012. Some days just sparkle, don't they? Today was one of those days. Beautiful weather always helps create a sparkly day. Add happy, well-behaved kids to the mix and I reckon you're about there! We didn't really go anywhere too far today. I was supposed to do a 5K fun run, but snot and a head cold got in the way. I didn't feel much like running. There was lovely news this week that there had been seals (! Sighted (twice) in our river. Seals! Sunday, June 24, 2012.

kurrabi kid: At home
http://kurrabikid.blogspot.com/2013/04/at-home.html
Tuesday, April 2, 2013. We spent this Easter at home. It was the first time in YEARS that we've done so. Usually we're off visiting farflung family or escaping the city. It would have been lovely to head west, but we're doing that in a few weeks' time anyway. So we spent the four days just relaxing at home. And it was amazing. Great to just reboot sometimes, isn't it? Rediscovered bike riding and had lots of rides around the river in the dappled sunshine. Made bunny masks for the littlest. I remember whe...

kurrabi kid: April 2012
http://kurrabikid.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 25, 2012. No USB needed (at this point in time anyway). So I can now do a {long overdue} catch-up of what we have been up to in these parts: * Some school-holiday boat building and sailing. On the 'lakes' that have formed in our park. Oh dear. Yes, it's been veeeeery rainy these school holidays. Shaun had the first week off with the kids. He got all the sunshine. No fair. We did go out to the waterfall nearest town. This is me and T sporting some cool eyewear. There's also been a bit of ...
