THE RECOVERING BRIT: January 2011
http://therecoveringbrit.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 28, 2011. Well there's nothing like walking on beaches one day, and then digging a couple of feet of snow the next! We finally arrived home from New Zealand late Tuesday night and laughed when we spotted our cars in the parking lot - actually they were more recognisable because they were the only two cars that weren't very visible due to being boxed in by snow. So Wednesday afternoon brought on the Big Dig:. I always love the icicles this time of year - they remind me of huge stalactites!

THE RECOVERING BRIT: Boxed In
http://therecoveringbrit.blogspot.com/2011/02/boxed-in.html
Monday, February 21, 2011. The floor space here was really the only free space available downstairs! My heart sank when I walked in and saw all the boxes. I already knew that M was a hoarder, but I wasn't quite fully prepared for the full extent of it, and I knew it was going to be a very "long weekend"! M is a total procrastinator, although he does work well when motivated, and especially when he sees rewards from his labor. Dozens of the boxes were literally filled with paperwork just thrown into them ...

As some of you know, my husband and I are moving to Italy. You can now find me posting over at Jessica Lynn Writes. Please follow me there! Friday, January 14, 2011. Hue Texture {greens and piney}. I don't know when I stumbled upon Marta Locklear's blog. But I'm completely floored by her work. I'm in awe of her style and amazed at how she captures her subjects. I literally find myself going back to the same photos and just staring at them, because I think they're so beautiful. Goodness! Links to this post.

THE RECOVERING BRIT: The NZ Lowdown 6: Fiordland (Part II)
http://therecoveringbrit.blogspot.com/2011/03/nz-lowdown-6-fiordland-national-park.html
Tuesday, March 1, 2011. The NZ Lowdown 6: Fiordland (Part II). The Spectacular Milford Sound. Our day was off to an early start. Actually, earlier than necessary, because. But anyway, the real purpose of our early start for the day was a guided day tour - the major focus being a cruise on Milford Sound. Our guide Andrew (oddly, a Welshman! Nevertheless though, the scenery was spectacular, and I imagine it wouldn't matter what kind of weather you visited this region in - each would bring its own, special ...
