January 10, 2012. Pie Making, etc. To keep myself sane-ish through all the stressed-out, sleep-deprived, how-the-heck-do-you-make-an-APA-reference-list weeks, I have made a point each weekend to make a pie. Pie making is great for sanity, because it forces you to slow down and be in what you're doing - making a pie. As some of you surely know, the lovely ladies of The Post Punk Kitchen. Recently released a new book all about making vegan pies, Vegan Pie In The Sky. Without further ado;. After making the ...

Vegan Lasagna with Homemade Ricotta. It’s beginning to look a lot like….Hoth →. December 16, 2013. Today, after I got out of the shower and dressed for work, my kiddo threw up. It was a great way to start a Monday morning. Not. The fat cat keeps trying to claim it for himself. I was so tired by dinner time that I just did soup for us. Basic ramen style for kiddo, and pho for me, with fried tofu for both of us. I am slightly obsessive with pho, and could eat it almost every day I think. Someth...You are c...

Newer posts →. WHERE HAVE I BEEN? September 8, 2011. Mostly in a big cloud of work and fuzziness. But seriously, it has been a hectic summer. New boss, lost our asst mgr, having to work a lot more, yada yada.😛 Leaves little time for blogging and crafting. Serious bummer. I want to get more into pattern writing, and for the love of god put some things back into my etsy! AHH it’s been barren for so long! This is an emotional post. Time for a picture. I will probably do some patterns with that as well....

The Hippie Inside: Tropical Oatmeal Vegan Pancakes
http://hippieinside.blogspot.com/2012/06/tropical-oatmeal-vegan-pancakes.html
Monday, June 25, 2012. Tropical Oatmeal Vegan Pancakes. My OB says that pregnancy cravings aren't real and that I should ignore them. I don't believe her though, because nothing but a pregnancy craving could account for the intense desire I've had for pancakes since Friday night, especially considering, as I've mentioned before. Tropical Oatmeal Vegan Pancakes. 1/2 cup unbleached, all purpose flour. 1/2 cup rolled oats. 1 TBSP raw cane sugar. 1 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp baking soda. Because these are re...

Sunday, November 25, 2012. T is for a Traditional Thanksgiving. Hi there. Long time no talk! From Post Punk Kitchen. Holy turkey that roast was great. The seitan had the perfect chewy texture plus how can you go wrong with a mushroom and leek filling? Time to sign out and enjoy the last few hours of the long holiday weekend. I’ve got a few future posts planned so hopefully (no promises) I can get back into the habit of regular posting. November 28, 2012 at 8:41 AM. Hi Jenn, Thank you for the kind words!

The Hippie Inside: Welcome
http://hippieinside.blogspot.com/p/welcome.html
Hello everyone, and welcome to my new blog. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I like to eat, hate to cook, and have been called a hippie more times than I care to count. I wear that label with pride. I've been a vegetarian for a long time now, and I've got some serious vegan leanings. I'd say that I'm "sort of" vegan, but I'm pretty sure you can't be sort of vegan. You either are or aren't. As yet, I'm not. In a house where both his brother and his father eat meat (how AM I going to do that, anyway? Beer Marin...
