We're going on an adventure! Who are we and what are we up to. August 15, 2013. I am ashamed to say that we have not geocached. AT ALL so far on our trip! Its very quiet here in the Loire village we are staying in. There is not much to do here and the girls are getting a little homesick I think and spending too much time on the internet. Thouars is the largest closest town which we have visited twice – the first time was on a Wednesday and it appears everything is closed on a Wednesday in Thouars but we had a nice walk around🙂 Its a fabulous town with some lovely old buildings and narrow streets. We're going on an adventure! Who are we and what are we up to. August 7, 2013. Festivities began early today with giants parading the streets, we have no idea what was going on but it was fun to watch! We drove to nearby Ametlla de Mar, 25 minutes by car, its the closest seaside resort to Rasquera. We headed for Playas Nord which took us past the main beach resort that was packed to beautiful pebbly, rocky coves with hardly anyone on them. The sea was warm and crystal clear and was perfect for snorkeling.
